My Mother Makes Life Interesting

My mother was apparently so upset about my wedding being in the greater Cincinnati area that she called Joe's mom flipping out. The irony is... I think Joe's mom is actually getting excited about it. And his mother never gets excited about ANYTHING. Luckily, for the first time Sunday, she seemed to calm down. I kinda get the impression that her Aunt Fern told her she needs to CALM... THE FUCK... DOWN. Not in those words, of course, but I really feel like I love Aunt Fern right now. It's not as if we're not having this HUGE engagement party that we're inviting everyone to anyway. Grandma says we should be excited. It's an important day for us. She said I shouldn't worry about my mother. It's not like my dad didn't give her everything she wanted on her special day.

So, we'll be getting married in Covington, KY. The hotel where our guests will will be staying will be right on the Ohio river overlooking Cincinnati. We signed the contract today *grins*
