I love The Books. They and Divine Comedy are basically the best thing ever to grace my airwaves. They have been called electronica (but they are not. ever.), Folk (misleading to the extreme), Experimental (accurate, somewhat, but a cop-out.), and various other silly things. I call them Found-sound Folk Opera. It varries from album to album, and between songs.
They are glorious and clever and soothing and rhythmic and sort of like spinning the radio dial of human existance. Whee!
