it's friday night (or early sat morn) and i finally have some time to myself. seems like i've been running behind...trying to catch up to deadlines, trying to do other people's tasks, trying to finish a never ending to-do list that grows exponentially every time i get the slight satisfaction of crossing one thing off.
i have watched chick flicks for two nights in a row. and quite frankly, it's very exhilarating (and poisonous) to do so. i feel like i can go to sleep happy... but it's like a sad kind of happy, like happy for them, but WHAT ABOUT ME!?!? ray isn't irish... or english. and doesn't have some twisted past that makes him put up a front to be mean but secretly pine after me. haha. what IS it about chick flicks!? ughhhh. leaves such a bittersweet taste in my mouth. ray always knows that it's to his doom whenever we pop in a chick flick. hence, the strong resistance.
but tonight! i watched with a bunch of girls. and it was very satisfying. :) we fast forwarded through all the bad parts, which i appreciated. <3 it's nice to be in the same boat. hats off to kindra and the remote. sometimes, people get really lax and liberal about stuff like that, like what's the big deal... but i think, that's where it starts. and if you can draw a straight, hard line for those kinda things, a whole lot more will come easier...
so as of now, ray is camping with a bunch of guys in joshua tree...and they are probably up to no good shenanigans right now. they always do these...stupid secret things... -_- haha. my little brother is going to prom tomorrow...annnnnddd my baby sister is running for vice president of her school. lovely. :)
in school news, there's this little boy i have discovered at my school whose name is alfredo. and the funny thing is...he totally looks like... a plate of spaghetti. so cute. <33
this year, i'm organizing an event with the american heart association for the kids to raise money as heart heroes... and the guy who came in today to do the kick-off was SO good at the assembly. i was like, proud to be affiliated. haha. i have deep appreciation for people who can run a crowd...of kids. if you can do crowd control with KIDS, you definitely are strong on the inside. it takes a lot, you know...
we had a cop come to our school on tuesday, and tried to wing an assembly with the kids. epic FAIL. he did like... a Q&A session with the kindergarteners. like they're gonna listen!?
Q: *points to gun* what's that?
A: that's my GUN and i have extra bullets too... TO SHOOT PEOPLE...
!? stuff like that... all macho and stuff. totally didn't fly with the kids. they weren't listening, they couldn't even hear anything. he had the gun, but it wasn't enough. imagine one police officer and ... 200 squirmy, talking kids utterly out of control. couldn't hold their attention.
but today? the heart guy just waltzed in, did his number, and held the attention of 600 students for a whole long while. impressive!
this has been such a busy month. at any rate, i need to go to bed. so exciting...
