Count the Seconds
How cool is constant thunder and lightning? Being a transplanted desert rat, I have to reacquaint myself with the calming sounds of a nice thorough storm. Love it.
Not so much loving having to stand outside in it while the dogs relieve themselves but I'll take the bad with the good.
Four day weekend starting tomorrow. Curt and I had two choices. 1-Go on a nice weekend trip to exotic, far and away places...like Denver. Or 2-Paint the office.
Much to my surprise I actually chose to paint. Not everyday I dismiss a spa retreat weekend full of pampering and treatments to lay tarp and roll green paint on four walls. But it has to be done and it's the right thing to do.
Speaking of the "right thing to do", those words were spoken last night on the Dateline (I think?) special with Angelina Jolie. I'm pretty ambivalent in my opinions of her but I usually find on camera interviews with her interesting. So last night I was surprised I was kind of bored, I even fast forwarded some of it. It also struck me as slightly annoying that Ann Curry was pretty much acting like she was in the presence of holy greatness. I just found her to be trying a bit too hard and obviously too thrilled she landed the interview.
