So here's my list of to read in '09
  1. Sergei Lukayanko - Twilight Watch
  2. Robert Ludlum - Bourne Supremacy
  3. Robert Ludlum - Bourne Ultimatum
  4. Jane Austen - Sense and Sensibility (started reading last year)
  5. Lois Lowry - The Giver (I reread this book every year)
  6. Sebastien Japrisot - A Very Long Engagement (I just found out it was a book before a movie. I'm curious)
  7. Neil Gaiman - American Gods
  8. Belle du Jour - Secret Diary of a Call Girl (started last year, must finish so I can give it back to Natalie) - read half of it before giving back
  9. Gears of War - Aspho Field (yea that's right, I'm going to read a book based on a video game)
  10. Orson Scott Card - reread the last two in the Ender's Series
  11. Terry Goodkind - Stone of Tears (more of the series)
  12. Markus Zusak - The Book Thief
  13. P.C. Cast - the rest of the House of Night series available (4&5&6 - got six yesterday so for the new year)
  14. Laurell K Hamilton - Skin Trade (even if I don't like the direction LKH went with Anita, I must know what happens to her)
  15. Jasper Fford - The Eyre Affair
  16. Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith - Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
  17. Melissa Marr - Ink Exchange
  18. Suzanne Collins - Catching Fire (when it's released)
  19. Charlaine Harris - Touch of Dead (short stories when released)
I did pretty good as far as the books I wanted to read. I even read Persuasion by Jane Austen, too. I read a lot of books that weren't on my list.. haha that's what happens when the library gets books that look interesting. :) Now that I think about it though, I had a few more books on there prior to posting this - however, I had read them before I put them on LJ so it's not too bad.

Books to read in '10
  1. Sergei Lukayanko - Twilight Watch
  2. Robert Ludlum - Bourne Supremacy
  3. Robert Ludlum - Bourne Ultimatum
  4. Sebastien Japrisot - A Very Long Engagement (started in 09 but put down to read other things...)
  5. Neil Gaiman - American Gods
  6. Gears of War - Aspho Field (maybe...)
  7. Orson Scott Card - reread the last two in the Ender's Series
  8. Terry Goodkind - Stone of Tears (more of the series)
  9. Jane Austen - Emma
  10. Jane Austen - Northanger Abbey
  11. Richard Castle - Heat Wave (funny how ABC makes a book for it's tv show, awesome)
  12. Orson Scott Card - Hidden Empire (Gotta get my hands on it first)
  13. Jasper Fforde - Lost in a Good Book
  14. Charlaine Harris - Grave Sight
  15. Libba Bray - Great and Terrible Beauty
I know a lot of teenie books but that's what I love to read. This is mostly a list so I remember what books I need to buy/get from the library. lol. I might try to read the rest of the Jane Austen books. I leave that big book at work so I can read it whenever. I really need to read Twilight Watch it's been so long since I read Daywatch, hopefully I remember what happened in 'em. Then I can read Last Watch when I'm done. Woo.

Anyway, I don't think there were any books that blew me away in '09. I did read a lot though. Probably close to a 80... which to me is a feat. Typically I read about 40-50 a year. Mostly because of time constraints and no books to read. I guess it's because I picked up a few new series to check out that had already started awhile back. I did breeze through the Sookie Stackhouse books within two weeks. Haha, I have no life so that helps, right? I was actually surprised at how easy  Jane Austen was to read. I thought I'd have trouble with that one. I think I had more trouble with Jane Eyre - although I do love that story... however I think I love the story of Tess more.

Stupid LJ posted before I was done. Oh well. I'll leave this for now. I think I need to take a break from the computer anyway. Time for food. Maybe watch a movie or something. wee for 3 day weekend!
