It's a good thing Ginji flies so steadily--my hand still shakes trying to hold a pen. I had to practice writing for at least three days to be able to get used to it again, though it still looks like a mess on the page. Is this even readable? legible? (Guy says that's the right word...)
We're headed for Yulia City It's hard to keep my thoughts organized right now. I don't know if they'll all make it here. But here goes.
We got home...nine days ago, I think. By we I mean--well.
Maybe I should just start from where I left off.
......I don't really know how to say this after all.
I guess I can't do much but write what comes to mind.
We're headed for Yulia City right now. Me, Guy, Tear and Asch. Ginji's piloting because Natalia has Noelle busy with the wedding preparations...anyway, Tear says they've added onto it in the past few years. There are places in the open sunlight. She's mostly running things now, since her grandfather is looking to pass on his duties, I guess...it must be tough, but she won't complain no matter what. She hasn't changed much. I don't really mind.
I don't really know what to call it...the fact that we all met up again on that day. On Eldrant I had no sense of time, so I guess it was just luck we made it to Tataroo by my birthday. Everyone was there, and I heard Tear singing, so I went to see what was going on. I don't remember much more than that...there was a lot of hugging and talking and maybe crying, but I was just too relieved to make sense of it. When I told Natalia about Asch she ran right to him...probably the last thing she was expecting, to be able to see him again. The last thing any of us were expecting. Even me...
I left that day to free Lorelei thinking I wouldn't be able to come back, no matter how much I wanted to. I don't really know what happened...I just woke up afterward to Asch yelling at me in my head. At first we thought Lorelei had somehow stuck us in the same body, and he kept calling me an idiot...(not that I didn't deserve it, but...) But we were still separate after all. Neither of us could move very well, I'm not sure why, but I made myself get up and look around. It took a while, but I guess I'm just used to having to learn how to do things from scratch.
I can't say exactly how long it was we were there...I didn't think to keep track. Asch was alive...somehow...but he couldn't get his body to move, so I practiced fighting until I was able to face down some monsters for food. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing...and I was really hungry. I had to carry Asch through the ruins, so it took a long time...weeks...maybe months. Living off monster meat the whole whole time...ugh. Until we finally made it back. They took us back to Baticul right away. That was a little over a week ago. Natalia has been just as happy as everyone else, but...apparently Uncle hasn't been well lately, so she's worried about him. She asked Asch to marry her right away so Kimlasca could have a proper king and queen again. He hasn't said much, but he's probably happy...I mean, he wanted to be able to help the country even as a little kid.
Looks like we're landing now--I'll finish tonight at the inn.
