M83 Show review - Ode to Portland

Two queers kiss under the arch of metal hair
that swings in time between a baseball cap and a brother's fro
keeping the beat as a boy in glasses with a black ironic shirt
counts on a small machine.

Bridge and tunnels play chutes and ladders
with hipsters who bounce and stare
as the lesbian faux hawks direct our attention.

Except for the boy in the dirty designer sweater
he hates you for wanting to talk to to him.

Me, I am the not goth in the corner,
wearing her lipstick again.
I did not get off that bus to smoke a Pall Mall,
Three stamps later I got off to see a show.

We are beautiful,
no hair brush
just blush
and a m83 t-shirt.
