times of change... goodluck Ram

I know i've posted this picture before but i unfortunatly said goodbye to my 2001 Dodge Ram today... Gas prices have gone up so high, and it had almost 70,000 miles on it, i just couldn't afford to keep driving my baby around. On the road it got only 13mpg (miles per gallon) in the city and 16mpg on the interstate. So on the trip to see heidi alone i spent $200 just on gasoline. When i bought the truck it already had 42,000 miles on it and it was only a year old, but i knew it was the truck i wanted. Over time i customized it the way i wanted it to be, but at the same time, i was having mechanical problems, and using my 3 year extended warranty to good use. My warranty would have gone out in July of this year and i was still gonna need some work done on it. So i decided that i would trade it in on a more fuel effecient vehicle. I went looking at the Nissan Muranos, because they were big and mean lookin and got 20/25mpg... but they also cost $30,000... so after short consideration i knew i wouldnt be able to afford the Murano... so i looked over the used car lot and found a car with better gas mileage (19/24mpg), still under warranty, and it was $10,000 less than the Murano. I took it for a spin and decided that was the vehicle i wanted. So i cleaned out my truck and got everything ready to trade it in. The deal they worked out with me was that they appraised the truck at $8500 and i owed $9038, so they aggreed to pay the truck off completly. So after a long day of paperwork and headaches i now am the owner of a Burgundy 2004 Jeep Wrangler X Trail Rated Edition with a black hard top. It has 16,000 miles on it and a 5 yr warranty for 18,998. I also worked it out to where i'm paying the same payments i was on my truck, and my insurance only went up almost $30 a year. I havent gotten any pix of it yet, but i'll get some up on here tomorrow... Dont get me wrong. I loved my truck like a person loves one of their pets. I put money, sweat, and blood into that truck over the past 3 years. I was very proud of how clean i kept it and how nice it looked. I hated to give it up, but in the long run i think it will have been the right thing to do.

(p.s. its burgundy not purple)
