person a- thats how the world works. people are lifeless. blame the media. or other people
me- i blame the people themselves for being lazy ass bitches and feeling too tired to express any emotion
person a- wise judgement
me- it may take energy to be full of emotion.. but its worth it to live life instead of just being atoms pulled along for
a ride
person a- well, to play the devils advocate, could people not live their life fully for them by simply playing the part of
the robot?
me- i guess it does depend on the indivisual... but are most people in the world living their lives healthily or
are they all depressed?
person a- the question is, if they are depressed, do they know it? if it has been how they are for as long as
they remember, how could they acknowledge it as depression? its simply, life.
me- but... if they close out all options how are they fully living out life? and if they dont know what the options
are why are they letting the media tell them all they know is sufficiant? why dont they take a look in history
or around the world for a second thought?
person a- because ignorance is bliss. their is that heavy burden that comes with knowledge. that constant feeling
of sadness, over whats going on around the world and with everyone
me- but ignorance isnt bliss! you are a drone! boooooooooooooriing
person a- but if thats all you know, then whats boring about it?
me- whats exciting about it? whats fun about it? wheres the romance?
person a- but if you dont know what any of that is?
me- but you see that in media too.....books......movies
person a- but thats the media, and thats not how real life is
me- but its a lie!

me- i just dont know my side though, i dont know if its right or not... i feel badly about it, but that may
be because i am a compassionate push over

no, because if it happened to me id be pissed, but should jails be made worse to stop repeat offenders,
or even first time offenders? probably.
me- right=ethically valid
person a- give me a television set in front of every family in america and 5 years, and those "ethics" will not exist.
these people commited crimes. what do we do to them? noone knows.
me- i think the idea of jail is horrifying
person a- id kill myself before i went for over six months. not even kidding.

person a- its the confinement, i couldnt handle the confinement. i get cabin fever in my house for more than 4
hours
me- its just.. im saying it starts here. with saying the trick is tougher prisons and lose the right over womans
decisions over their bodies.. how many civil liberties are they going to take away?
and as well as the fact prisoners who murder and rape are not well!
they are sick sick indivisuals
person a- so kill them. thats the other option. too much money for mental healthcare
me- hm....what about the people who are robbing stores? thats because of the growing classes differences
like, this is such a complex issue and the mothers who get beaten and murder their husbands in self
defense? for them and the kids...i mean...goddamn
person a- if you make special rules for some, everyone will have something to complain about
me- i know...its just so hard

person b- hi. just read you LJ, and I dont know if I agree with it or not
me- it hit me in a weird way, i feel like its not right somehow
person b- i think its right. I mean... jail is someplace you go because you committed a crime
me- yes..
person b- I dont believe you should have any rights in jail not even TV
me- i think you should have education and some rights.. they are going to get out at some point
and its like... ppl are in there for years and years. its not easy for me to understand what that feels like
i just dont know
hmm
maybe i feel too compassionatly for them
but not all ppl who go to jail are murderers, or sexual offenders... some of them sold pot and got
busted. some of them are protestors and civil lawbreakers (i had meant to say civial right activists)

me- and dont you think its horrifying enough to be sent to jail?

a person adapts to their environment and I believe inmates adapt to be ing in jail, like I shashank
redemption, the old guy didnt wanna leave cause it was the only thing he ever knew
me- i dont know what i think of that
person b- I mean... when you committ the crime you should KNOW where your going and accept the
consequences

me- and what of all those women who killed their husbands in self defense of getting beaten again and
again
i just dont think its that simple
if they had kids he was beating too.. i bet they would be glad that he wouldnt be able to hurt them
anymore
i just think prisons are tough... as they should be.. but
they are still people
and looking at it in a psychologist point of view
