what about when there are no words?
no words to say, but even worse- no words to hear
there is no one to talk to and no one to listen to
the squeaks, creaks, and hum of the car grinding against the asphalt
remind you that that is the only real movement in your entire life
no music could understand that feeling or fill that silence
driving home is the only real sense of direction you have
...and even that is at question
where is this road taking me?
do i really have to push the gas?
or is it possible to just never move from this spot?
as much as you want to just sit there with your forehead smooshed against the steering wheel
you know there's some where else you have to be
you'll probably get there, but part of you wants to never arrive any where
no place seems like the right place
so you just go to the only place you remember how to get to
and hope when you wake up the next morning
that someone is happy you are where you are.
