I heard a constant meowing last night when Mon took me home. It sounded like a kitten and I always get bothered when I think a kitty's all alone and abandoned. So I tracked it down. I found it hiding under our Land Cruiser's chassis (?) stuck, scared, and crying!
!!! I bent down, was flat on the pavement, and tried coaxing it to come down. It didn't. It stayed scared frozen. So, it being 4am in the morning, I thought I'd leave it alone in hopes that it would just go down the next day.
Apparently not. As my two brothers were about to use the car the next day, they heard the meowing. Enzo (youngest bro) went under the car and grabbed the kitty. They left it amongst the other cats we feed in the backyard. No one claimed it as their baby as my brothers thought they would :( They even hissed at it. Anyway, I got home at around 9pm after dinner with Mon and we heard that meowing again. I figured it was the same kitten. So we got a flashlight and tracked it down again. It was among the plant pots just outside the backdoor -- wet cold and scared! ACK. Kawawa talaga.
So this time I tried calling it again, with more patience. After a looong time (it was really scared to come close), it finally did and I scooped it up. I brought it in, made it sniff around to get used to the surroundings, and gave it a bath. Found out it was a girl. I was out of milk so I went to shell and bought some. At her age, I'm guessing she was left behind (for some reason) too early. She didn't know how to fend for herself yet; she's too young to know how to eat solid foods yet, but too old to just live on milk. So I gave her milk and something soft -- cheese. She gobbled it up real well. (I'll try some mashed biscuits and milk or mashed tuna tomorrow.) It was really cute when, after eating so much, she'd fall asleep while licking up some milk...then she'd nod off and would almost fall into the milk dish. Hahaha! She fell asleep after I placed her on my bathroom rug and she got all warm and snug.
The last time I brought a kitten home, my mom threw it away the very next day without telling me about it. I was going to find a home for it pa naman. Ouch. :( So this time, I firmly told her NOT to bother with what I'm doing because I'm determined to put the kitten up for adoption (PAWS is an option). But I'm gonna post it up here first, in case any of my contacts would like to adopt a cute kitten. :) At least this is a bit more immediate rather than me trying to find free time to drop off kitty in PAWS.
So here's a picture, but it's not kitty's picture. I'll post one up later in the day. But this picture's pretty pretty close to how she looks like. She's just slightly thinner, but her eyes, shape of face, and largeness of paws look like this. She looks like a healthy kitten, despite the fact that she's homeless.

So, any one want to adopt kitty? :) I'd really love to take care of her, but I know I can't for several reasons: mom won't let me and even I won't "let me" cause I'm just way too busy :( No one will be able to care for her here.
I'm crossing my fingers someone with a huge heart will take her in. Hearts are a bit more open this time of year. :)
