Flood Update
I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has been so supportive over this difficult time. Jason and I are doing well. We are still staying at Ted's (Jason's dad) house as we continue to clean up the huge mess. Currently everything has been bleached and nothing that is not going back in the house is in there. We found out that both the washer and dryer were shot, but the stove and the dishwasher are still working. Both have been cleaned and disinfected numerous times.
So far we have had a generous outpouring of stuff from friends and family. We will be able to go on, and everything is replaceable. To those who have asked, yes we have taken the steps to contact FEMA, we have the number and it's been taken care of thank you.
Life as we know it has gone on. We are both still working and Ernie has now made the adjustment to Ted's house. During the day he still goes to my parents house so he is not left at home. We are trying to get everything organized so that we can move back in to our house and move on with our lives. You have no idea how excited I will be to sleep in my own house, and have what little stuff I own scattered out about me. Currently all of the salveagable stuff is in trash bags in the room we sleep in.
