Today my mom gave me some fresh tomatoes from our old neighbor's garden. I am excited to use them in a salad or sandwich or something next week. They look amazing.

Yesterday Mike and I went to a carnival/fair thing in Anaheim Hills to help make Filipino food with FAAAH, the Filipino American Association of Anaheim Hills. A mouthful, I know. But I had lots of fun taking orders, and Mike sweat up a storm barbecuing chicken, and old filipino men and women are hilariously lewd. They kept calling Mike the "master baster" (say it out loud to yourself if you don't get it at first) because he was in charge of the teriyaki sauce for a while. We're going to help again later today, and Mike's mom is going to teach me to make pancit (Filipino noodles) and halo halo (a Filipino ice dessert which is really good). After the whole Chicago-mean-cousin incident, I'm happy to feel that I really fit in with Mike's immediate family...and all the other Filipinos too. =)

I also got a new computer last week. I am now the proud owner of a Macbook, and I love it. It was hard for me to buy it, since I've never spent that much of my own money on something before, but I'm glad I did. It's so fast, and doesn't have a huge crack across the screen like my old laptop. I'm just happy to be able to read everything on the screen again.

School is starting soon, and Im not ready to go back. One more year, and I'm done...with UCLA, anyway. I seriously can't wait to enter the real world.

Oh, and I'm excited to go see this. Not because I'm all hardcore Christian, but because it looks really interesting. And it's not going to be a shove-Christianity-down-your-throat movie. Mike and I are going to see it September 29.
