iphones.
seriously? what's all the hype about?
are you really getting what you're paying for? the phone itself costs 200 or 300 dollars depending on what size you get (note the WHITE one, popular among girls, only comes in 16gb) and then theres the concept of adding applications and paying the bill which costs i dont even know how much. i know they've had problems with freezing, loss of battery, and other things that i cant think of at the moment
i don't understand the novelty behind the 'touch screen' aspect of it. first of all, it's a magnet for greasy fingerprints. i dont know about you but i can't stand it when fingerprints are visible. also, a friend of mine has one and told me he has to wipe the screen of his every five minutes because it gets so dirty he can't see what he's doing. secondly (and this may not be true), i would think not having any buttons at all would make it easier for the wrong buttons to be pushed accidentally.
and then there's the ipod touch. i will admit it is very cool, but it's THE EXACT SAME THING AS THE IPHONE EXCEPT YOU CAN'T MAKE CALLS ON IT. what is the POINT? they are VERY similar price wise -- 8 gb for $229, 16 gb for $300, and 32 gb for $400. my point is, if you even NEED 32gb for JUST an ipod, you're better off getting the ipod classic -- 120 gb for only $249. otherwise you should just spend the extra i dont know how much a month and have a device that does EVERYTHING.
while i'm not saying iphones aren't cool, they are very technologically advanced and have some cool options, i just find them to be very impractical.
and that's all i have to say about that.
