The Great Wall

One of the reasons of my journey to China was conquering The Great Wall of China. On the second day of our trip we were shown a part of the Wall located not far from Beijing - Badalin. It was almost impossible to see the Wall in all its glory 'cause of smog/thick clouds. So we just began our ascent without a second thought as we were time limited. I believe it was the only place in whole China so overcrowded with tourists. But fortunately number of them lessened with every next tower which were situated 100 m from each other. At first it was very scary to "climb" the stairs - it was crowded with travelers of all ages and a slope was sharp - but when people began "vanishing" we started enjoying our walk. But we didn't just waste powder and shout, as what we saw with every passing step was awesome. Even clouds couldn't spoil our mood. In the end we reached the 15th tower if I'm not mistaken and for lack of time didn't near a lovely pavilion... We went without any aim but it was worth it.
