My First Sports Festival!
So today Tenma school's sports festival and despite all of my worries, it was actually a pretty fun day! This is saying alot despite the fact that my body was in a pretty bad state (I got my monthly visitor and had a huge migraine for the whole event). So I will give a little recap of the event.
The morning began with mostly events for the nursery and toddler kids, which were alot of fun. Lots of dancing and simple little relays. It was a BIG plus that the nursery and toddler kids HAD to be with their moms and dads the whole day. As much as I love my little nursery kids, if I had to watch them and be in charge of events it would have been horrible! And I think it helped, because very few of the nursery and toddler kids cried since their mommies and daddies were there to be with them! Also during the morning was the parent/teacher relay race. I have to say the dads take this kinda thing SERIOUSLY!! My team came in third, but we got off to a slow start and sadly never got over the gap.
In the afternoon we had all the kinder events. They were pretty fun to watch, I mean watching 3-4 year olds do a 3-legged race with their parents is hilarious! The parents kinda dragged their kids to the finish line! The kids are also so cute as they cheer on their pink and yellow teams!
It all came down to a tie that was broken by a teachers tug-o-war. At first it looked like the yellow team was going to win (boo!) but they cheated by having 3 more members on their team than our pink team. So we had a rematch with even teams, and won! Yey go pink team!
All in all it was a good day. And now I know sports festivals can be fun!
