Rain's pouring outside
guess i'll stay in today
rather than drown
time to bring on the games
who really likes games
what pleasure can be derived
from winning or losing
roll the dice
focus
i said focus
doubles
roll again
snake eyes
looks like your luck's run out
didn't know i had it to begin with
didn't pass go
didn't collect two hundred dollars
just sat around
in the jail i paid to build
you were on the carousel
going in circles
thinking you'd get somewhere
i was sitting in the dust
devoid of false hopes
face to face with a crossword puzzle
fill in the blanks
blank out the sound
sound of the rain
the window is leaking
not as resilient as it used to be
but who is
the carousel goes around
around
you picked the prettiest pony
but she broke down
no one knows the price i've paid
in the name of beauty
beauty is in imperfection
but no one loves venus de milo
when they get close enough
to see the cracks
