New Schedule
We started our new schedule today. Jim got up at 5:40 and was out the door by 6:15.. and was even at work before 7!! Maddie was up at 6 and ready to go by 6:25.. so she got to have some DS time while we waited for 6:50 to roll around.. got her on the bus for 7.. now it's all quiet.. Meghan is still sleeping.. I've made formula AND coffee and am grateful for the few minutes to myself to be able to post this update. This way, Jim will be able to leave at 3:30/4 and be home by 5 instead of leaving at 5/5:30 and being home for 7.
We took Maddie to the doctor yesterday to check on her ears.. she's been having trouble hearing us lately which has been extremely frustrating for all of us. Turns out she had an ear infection in one ear, fluid in the other and is working on a sinus infection on top of it all.. so she's now on an antibiotic and musinex for a while till we get rid of it. She's back at school today since she never had a fever.. just congestion and the bad cough she gets.. poor thing.
On the up side, we got her a new 20'' bike this past weekend as a reward for learning to ride without the training wheels. It's still a tiny bit too big for her but she's getting the hang of it. The biggest problem she has is getting the kick stand to go up and pushing off.. once she's up and going.. she does great.
The last two weekends have been really busy for us.. so much so that it feels like we didn't even get a weekend.. This coming weekend we have to start tackling the house for the big party but more so just to get things back in order... we have clutter everywhere and it's driving both of us nuts.. we just need to start going through the house room by room and getting rid of stuff.. we have WAY too much stuff that we just aren't using and it needs to go away.
I can hardly believe that I've been home now for a year. I went out on maternity leave March 1st of last year.. seems like a lifetime ago when was just sitting around waiting to have the baby and then all the craziness of the first few months after she was born.. it's amazing how different things are now. Just thinking about it I can remember the weight of how I was feeling at the time. We have our long over due eye appointment this coming Friday and then they'll do the exam under anesthesia next Thursday so hopefully everything will be good with that. She's been doing great so I am not too worried although her left eye has started to seep again.. not sure if it's a tear duct issue or what but we'll let the doc look at it on Friday.
That's about all for now.. oh wait, I should tell you that my visit to the dermatologist last week went okay. He put me on an antibiotic, recommended a new face wash (over the counter.. basic face wash), and gave me a script for a new night and day treatment. Unfortunately my insurance wouldn't cover the night time one but I can get a milder form of it over the counter so we'll see how that works.. so far so good.. it's been less than a week and really I can already see a difference. I'm not sure if I was over doing it with what I was using before and my face was reacting or if the new stuff is just better or what but whatever the case, for now, it's better.. I go back in 6 weeks to check in.
