peaceful Albion
Oh Albion. I am now spending my second winter break in Albion. Last year it was very different because I was able to stay in my own room, without a roommate. This year, I've had to move into someone else's DORM room, with a roommate that I don't know very well. I am glad that I am making money and not just sitting at home in Buchanan trying to find money through babysitting or something, but it's still kind of depressing to be here.
I am also ridiculously broke! Therefore I am house sitting for Mandy and Trajan Dubiel this weekend, and working for the Ford Institute by calling prospective students in addition to my regular job in the Admission Office. Even if I could have left Albion this weekend to go home or somewhere else to visit friends, I am too broke to do it!
on the up side, I am so pumped b/c I am going to IOWA Dec 27 - Jan 3 for the Iowa Caucus with some other Albion students. As of right now, our lodging, airfare, and meals are paid for by the Bill Richardson campaign that we're volunteering for, which is awesome. I am excited to get a fun experience like this without having to pull money out of my pocket for it.
other exciting news is that I am going to California for Spring Break!!! I have never been to California, and my parents are taking my brother and I for our spring break. We are staying at a Marriott Resort in Palm Springs through our timeshare, but the best part is that we're going to see the Pacific Wells tournament for tennis....so I get to spend my spring break basking in the sun on the tennis courts watching the best of the best...Nadal, Federer, Venus, Serena...the list goes on!!!!!!!!!
well, I guess it's time to go back to watching t.v. and boring myself to death in Mitchell towers...
