I have a new car!
YES I HAVE A NEW CAR! WOOOOOOOO!
ok, now that I am done being excited about that. :)
this weekend was pretty good. It was a blessing in disguise now that I look back on it.
insert: (christie just asked me, "who are you talking to?" as in on AIM b/c she heard my typing....my response: "my live journal" LOL
anyways.
I went home friday evening with brenda and gretchen after the banquet. I was soo tired that I crashed on my mattress on the floor, yes my bed is actually a mattress on the floor...and I woke up at 7:30 on saturday morning...this was my morning:
8:00 AM Farmer's Market (my sis molly is the new director of Buchanan's farmer's market, in college she did an anthropological field study on farmer's markets in Holland, MI and so this intrigued her interest in the new job she has)
9:00 AM Nash's Soccer Game!
10:30 AM Bank closing of my loan
11:00 AM I HAVE MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12:00 PM took Emily up to St. Joe/watched the Blossomtime Parade, (memories!)
now to the better half of my day....
I met up with Jonathon so I could show him my new car. (he is the biggest car geek you'll ever meet). the first thing he does is pops open the hood...lol. and then he got inside and freaked when he saw the features! (my car is the bonneville SLE, super luxury edition?) and so it has lots of fun features from heated seats to dual climate control and instant MPG reader. it's way awesome. OHHH and the SUNROOF!!!!
then we went to the mall where I bought a new skirt and top to celebrate, of course he thought I paid too much for them. but they were worth it.
then we went to his sister's house for the rest of the day. I had an absolutely amazing time. His sister has 3 children, Victoria is her step daughter, she is 7 and then JJ (named after Jonathon) he is 3 and Xavier is 7months. Chrystal was the only one home, so while Jonathon was re-tinting his car windows (several hour project) I helped take care of Xavier and JJ while Chrystal was cooking dinner and such. It was so nice to just relax for a while. I had to take my Political Thought Final Exam at 7pm however, and that sucked. Dr. Rose emailed me the test and then I had to email him my essay/response(s) back by 9pm. Chrystal found it quite ambitous of me to be working on a final exam at the kitchen table of her house while 3 kids were running around and Jonathon was cursing up a storm in the garage while working on his car. lol. But when I finished the exam Chrystal had finished making a cake and she gave me a piece! so it was all good.
I then helped Chrystal with Xavier while she gave Victoria and JJ a bath. Jonathon was getting antsy to go home and he was baffled as to how I didn't mind hanging out to take care of his nephew. don't get me wrong though, Jonathon did his part. it was a whole new side for me to see of him. he is very good with children, and his nephews adore him.
then we went back to his house and Osos and Rose came over and then Taylor and Brent. some random girls showed up for Taylor and Brent, but they left after a few minutes. we played pool and hung out. I also got EXTREMELY INTOXICATED. I should have seen it coming. I drank soo much. I don't remember much, I just woke up on the couch with Jonathon this morning and saw taylor and brent sleeping on Jonathon's bed, which was pretty funny.
after we went out to breakfast/lunch I packed up my stuff and we headed back to his sister's house. after hanging out there for a few minutes we all headed up to St. Joe to the beach. Jonathon asked me if he could ride with me, I was SOO SHOCKED. this is the guy who 1) always drives everywhere b/c he loves to and 2) hates being a "passenger" in a car....which doesn't surprise me. so I hung out at the beach for a bit and then hit the road for albion around 4pm, I am assuming the boys all went home too, it was kind of windy out.
on my drive to albion I had alot of time to think. I really enjoyed my weekend. It was nice to remove myself from albion, or atleast from the academic atmosphere for a day or so. and I love kids, so spending the entire day with his niece and nephews was such a great time.
well, I am exhausted from everything and I have to get up early to drive to PAW PAW, yes PAW PAW (half way home for me basically) b/c I need to get my dress altered for Ashley's wedding!!!! :)
