A Sweet Love. ♥ I actually wrote this quite some time ago, I just haven't gotten around to posting it. It's also kind of really retarded. So sorry about that.
Once upon a time in a busy city lived a group of thirteen boys who all shared a house together. They all got along for most of the time, but there were hidden secrets underneath their happy exterior and a brooding unhappiness that struck their very core.
This story focuses on the love of Ryeowook and Sungmin which is held apart by an obstacle not so easy to get rid of.
The sun set over the horizon and soon darkness engulfed the trees and the park bench where Ryeowook and Sungmin had dozed off in each others arms.
Ryeowook stirred from his sleep and smiled at the sleeping figure he was holding.
"I love you, Sungmin."
The old oak tree they are under released a few leaves from it's branches; the wind carried them, dancing with them.
Sungmin snuggled closer.
"I love you too."
They ended up staying in that same spot for the rest of the night and soon dawn was breaking.
The sun felt warm as it touched their faces and it was only when the sound of jogging feet were heard that they started to move and venture back to the house where their unknowing housemates still lay sleeping; except for one.
"Where did you two go off to this morning?" A half dressed Yesung queried as he appeared in the kitchen doorway. He yawned while waiting for an answer and looked at the pair through glazed eyes. Suddenly, he decided that he didn't care any more and the scared looks displayed on the two younger boys faces bored him.
"Ryeowookah~ make me some coffee."
As Ryeowook rushed past him into the kitchen, he grabbed the boy and acquired his daily morning hug. "You smell fresh today." He smiled at the younger and let him go but held onto an arm as he followed his young lover into the kitchen leaving Sungmin alone in the hallway. Sungmin only smiled and retreated to his room where he spent the next few hours crying.
Leeteuk had always suspected something from the beginning, but he didn't enquire about it further because Yesung would be difficult about it and a moody Yesung was the last thing that they needed in the house.
The band leader would watch Sungmin silently long for Ryeowook and noticed how his bright eyes would dim when Yesung would come over and snatch Ryeowook away from view. Sungmin would then seek Leeteuk's comfort - which he was more than happy to give - and they would spend the day together watching romantic comedies, eating ice cream and crying. It was always the same thing every few days.
A look of adoration always filled Yesung's eyes when he'd see Ryeowook enter a room. He knew from first glance that he had to make Ryeowook his and only his and somehow managed to convince the boy that he was the one he was meant to be with.
Yesung was perfectly aware of the special bond that his young lover shared with Sungmin, but he did his best to ignore it and concentrated on making Ryeowook as happy as possible so that he wouldn't want to be with anyone other than him. His best efforts seemed to go to waste. Ryeowook had been missing from their bed at night more frequently in the past month and Yesung would often wake up to see his lover and Sungmin creeping back into the house during the early hours of the morning.
It was when Ryeowook saw Leeteuk come home with his girlfriend that he decided that he would take drastic measures to make sure that he'd be free from Yesung so he'd be able to be with the only one that he truly loved.
Leeteuk entered the room with a blush creeping into his cheeks. His hand was wrapped tightly around another one. It belonged to a pretty girl with a pleasant smile.
"Annyeong~"
Her voice was soft and melodic and it was instantly clear why Leeteuk fell for her.
"Everyone, this is censored~ my girlfriend." He beamed and his dimple was more evident than it usually was. "Isn't she pretty?"
Leeteuk's face was full of love and devotion. This made Ryeowook feel guilty and he knew that he was also leading Yesung on. It wasn't fair if he kept cheating on Yesung to be with Sungmin - he should just break it off with Yesung so he could be with Sungmin.
Ryeowook approached his coffee loving elder with a stern face, "Hyung, we need to talk."
Yesung smiled kindly and replied, "Yes, we do."
This took Ryeowook by surprise.
"Hyung, you go first."
Yesung obliged and took something out from the pocket of his jeans.
"Will you marry me, Ryeowook?"
And as planned, at that precise moment, various Super Junior members popped out of closets and out from under tables blowing party poopers and throwing streamers everywhere. Not to mention a large amount of screaming and cat-calling ensued.
"No."
Ryeowook's quiet voice silenced the room.
"I don't want to be with you."
He walked over to where Sungmin was - he had just entered the room as Ryeowook had given his answer - and grabbed a hold of his hand. "I want to be with Sungmin."
A look of defiance was spread across his face and for the longest time the couple just stared at each other; one with sad eyes and the other with a look of determination.
Soon it became awkward and the other members quietly left the room one by one. Sungmin however, was forced to stay as Ryeowook had a death grip on his hand.
"I want to be with Sungmin."
"You've been cheating on me with him, haven't you?"
A stab of guilt pierced Ryeowook's heart, but he didn't let it sway him.
"Please let me be with Sungmin."
Yesung smirked, "You need my approval?"
He took one last look at them and turned away. He called back remorsefully,
"Do whatever the hell you want to do Ryeowook. I did everything I could to keep you happy; I even helped you prepare Sungmin's birthday present which, by the way, was ten thousand times more sentimental than what you got me for mine. I guess it was foolish of me to think that you ever loved me at all."
With those last words he walked out the door, never to be seen by them again.
But it didn't matter to Ryeowook or Sungmin, because the obstacle that was keeping apart was now gone and they could finally be together just like they'd always wanted.
"I love you, Ryeowook."
"I love you too, Sungmin."
And they both lived happily ever after.
