“Wow~ hyung!” Ryeowook grinned at Yesung admirably and gave him a thumbs up. “You look so charismatic! Are you going on a date?” Yesung looked at himself in the bathroom mirror and couldn’t help but agree. He was enjoying the compliment when the question pierced through the moment. He pondered the question, but not for too long in case Ryeowook would make something more of it. His answer sounded hesitant. “No, not really Wookah. I’m just going to see a movie with Sungmin.” He really didn’t want to hurt his dongsaengs feelings - he knew how much of a crush Ryeowook had on Sungmin. But he had promised Sungmin that he‘d take him out to the movies one day. Come to think of it, he couldn’t remember the reason why. Ryeowook’s smile didn’t falter for a minute and simply asked, “Did he ask you, or did you ask him?” Each word was said with careful precision as if he didn’t want the true intent of the question to be heard. “I did.” Ryeowook just smiled some more. “You look so sexy, hyung~ I hope you have fun!” He hurried out of the bathroom, still smiling.
On his way out of the bathroom, he bumped into Heechul and inhaled his cologne. Is everyone going out tonight? “Hi hyung! Are you going out on a date too?” Heechul seemed miles away and answered with a somewhat vague answer. “No, not really Wookieah~ I’m just going to see a movie.” Ryeowook’s eyes widened. He wondered what movie was so special that it’d take three of his hyungs out on the same night. “By yourself?” he asked innocently. This question shocked Heechul enough to bring him back from his fantasy land. After a few minutes of staring and Ryeowook fidgeting in discomfort, Heechul made a declaration. “Of course I’m not going by myself! I’m Kim Heechul~ I never go anywhere without my entourage! You know Wookah~ my entourage today is really only a single person. A very special person.” He smiled warmly at the younger. “My entourage today is you.”
Yesung and Sungmin reached the cinema and purchased their tickets. It was still another half an hour before their movie started so they sat around restlessly waiting until they could enter the theatre. It isn’t meant to be this boring, is it? Yesung aimlessly looked around him while checking his watch every few seconds. Time is going by so slowly. Beside him, Sungmin kept making surprised sounds and clasping his hands over his mouth.
“Hyung~” he openly pointed at a couple kissing. “What are they doing?! Doesn’t it hurt?” His eyes were as wide as saucers as he continued to stare at them. “Don’t stare at them like that, Min~ they might see you…” Yesung muttered trying not to draw attention to them. Sungmin’s questions had already sent a few strange looks their way. “But I must tell them to stop! See,” he pointed. “The girl is in pain!” He ran over to them and pushed them away from each other. Yesung ran after him and grabbed the younger boys hand and apologized profusely to the slightly annoyed but mostly bewildered couple. “He’s still a kid… he’s still learning… please forgive him. I’m so sorry!” Sungmin huffed in annoyance and couldn’t contain himself. He pointed at the boy and said in a whining voice, “You were hurting her! It’s not nice to hurt people. Right, hyung?” He looked at Yesung hoping for a positive reply. Instead he was met with an embarrassed look. The girl that Sungmin was concerned for was muttering under her breath saying something about how she was having fun kissing and it didn’t hurt at all! Yesung pulled him away while throwing apologies at the couple as they left. Sungmin had caught the word “kissing”. It was the first time he’s heard of such a thing. “Hyung,… what’s kissing!?”
Ryeowook had latched onto Heechul at the cinema - he didn’t want to get lost. He was also thankful for his hyung’s company as Heechul hardly paid him any attention and they never spent time together, so this was a pleasant change. Heechul paid for their tickets and they went inside the cinema. They took seats at the corner because they didn’t want to get recognized and mobbed by fans. Ryeowook actually wouldn’t have minded this, but Heechul was adamant about the corner seat. About twenty minutes into the movie his hyung asked him a simple question, “Have you ever kissed anyone before, Wookah?”
Sungmin scrunched up his face in annoyance as he tried to comprehend the action that was kissing. Yesung had spent fifteen minutes explaining it to him and only didn’t get a chance to keep going as their movie was starting - they had missed twenty minutes of it already! “But Yesungie, kissing sounds so gross!!!” He was silenced by Yesungs hand over his mouth. “We’ll talk about this after the movie, Minah!” Five minutes afterward, when Yesung had let go of his mouth, Sungmin quietly left his side.
Ryeowook blushed a bright red, grateful that the cinema was so dark that his hyung wasn‘t able to see his face. “K-kissing…?” Heechul merely nodded not taking his eyes off the screen. “N-no… hyung… I-I’ve never had any… o-one to k-kiss before…” he stuttered, so embarrassed by the question that he focused on staring at his hands which were placed neatly on his lap. Heechul suddenly turned to Ryeowook, lifted his face with his finger and moved it to face him. “I’m going to kiss you, Ryeowook.” And with that, placed a gentle kiss on the younger’s lips. “YESUNGIE! I FOUND MORE PEOPLE KISSING!” They were interrupted by a screaming Sungmin and annoyed yells from other people in the cinema telling everyone to just shut up because they just wanted to watch the movie.
Yesung bolted over in the hopes he’d be able to silence Sungmin and instead just gaped when he reached Sungmin’s side. “I’ve just had my first kiss, Yesungie hyung!” Ryeowook proudly told his hyung. Sungmin scrunched his nose up. Ryeowook kisses people too? Yesung could only stare and quickly mustered up a reply. “How was it, Wookah?” Heechul answered for him. “It was obviously the best kiss he’s ever had, Jongwoon~ Now shut up and sit down. I’m trying to watch the movie.” Yesung and Sungmin sat down next to them with Ryeowook and Sungmin next to each other and the two older boys at either end. Sungmin nudged Ryeowook and whispered as softly as he could “Did it hurt, Wookie? It looks gross!” Ryeowook whispered back, “It doesn’t hurt, hyung~! It’s so much fun. Wanna try?” Sungmin thought about it for a little while and finally nodded. “Okay.” Ryeowook basically copied Heechul’s actions (considering that’s the only experience he’s had) and awkwardly kissed Sungmin. He looked at the elder expectantly. Sungmin only grinned and held Ryeowook’s hand throughout the rest of the movie.

Author’s endnote: Okay, this was lame~ but I was trying not to write angst. Did I succeed? I don’t know. D8 Don’t ask me why Heechul decided to kiss Ryeowook. I guess I always assumed that they were having a secret affair purely because in the “making of Flower Boys (the movie)” I saw a few Heewook moments. Yes, I screamed when I saw them. O; There is no Heemin in this one. I feel so dirty. D8
