http://www.cookiemag.com/homefront/2008/01/pinkboys?currentPage=1If a girl wants to wear a pair of trousers, noone bats an eyelid, so why if a boy wants to wear a dress that have to mean he has gender identity issues. Maybe he does, but maybe he just likes pink and dresses. As a kid I remember refusing to wear dresses and throwing a tantrum in a shop because I wanted a boy's dress not a girl's dress but now I'm quite a girlie girl!
I saw the a documentry about young kids being allowed to live as the opposite gender by their parents. It was really interesting. It is difficult to say if the children's feelings will change with age or are influenced by the attitudes of their parents in any way. It was nice to see parents being so supportive. I feel that it doesn't matter what gender someone is they should be able to behave and dress as they want without being told or feeling it is gender inappropriate. Gender is really not so important. On the other hand if someone feels they want to change their gender, despite saying gender should not be restrictive or important, I support them because we all have the right to live life as we feel happy and comfortable!
