Petting the Sharks!!!
Awwww, how cute can you get.
Baby in the pouch
We headed to the zoo on Sunday, because we were all excited about the new Oceans exhibit. We went there in mid-May but it didn't open until the end of May. It was pretty awesome, especailly the shark petting area, of course. I mean really who gets to say that they have pet a shark and noone lost any fingers either. I did expect for there to be more to the whole Oceans exhibit, but it was not a complete and total dissappointment. What they do have is awesome, I just expected more, besides the shark petting area they have two large aquariums, three seahorse aquariums, a lot of penguins, and a polar bear exhibit, which the Polar Bears were not even out and that make me have a frowny face for a minute, I love Polar Bears!!!
We took our old neighbors Dalton and Emily, they are pretty good kids. I am glad that we kept in touch after we moved, even though we do still live in the same town it is so easy to loose touch.
We got to feed the birds, which I felt sorry for those poor birds because they just kept feeding and feeding them and I thought for sure they were going to explode.
We saw a mama kangaroo stuff her baby head-first into her pouch, which was very very cute. She seemed very agitated and protective of her baby, those motherly instincts.
The only thing that was kind of a bummer was the dolphin show was canceled, which wasn't a big deal because one of the dolphins was sick, and the health of the dolphin is the most important thing, of course.
We had icecream and me and the kids, except Emily because she was too scared, went on the Universal Studios Dinosaur Island ride. It was pretty cool!!
