I like stories about the fair folk and I really liked this story. I can see Asami in this roll with Akihito as the mortal lover who saves him (with the power everybody keeps saying he has).
I'm guessing Asami's mother is Queen of the Unseelie and for him to finally step away it did take Aki's courage and love to allow him to do it.
There were a lot of little details that I really liked, the descriptions of the light fairies and dark fey. I laughed at the flaming ogre trying to find the lake to put himself out in. I liked that Asami did give Aki his everything and Aki really did follow Asami to 'the abyss' yet brought them both back again.

I saw a lot of images with this one while I was writing, like tiny fairies clinging to Aki's hair, and I wanted to share them.
