[ficlet] Bond of Blood

Sep 01, 2009 03:26

Title: Bond of Blood
Rating: PG
Spoilers: NT18
Warnings: Theoretical past
Disclaimer: All characters, etc, belong to Yamane-sensei

Note: This is a little ficlet for the Yamane_ayano project for Asami's past. I don't quite think it's true, but it would be fun if it were. :) It takes place ten years before present-day VF, and on the casino ship.

Evil! You are EVIL! If I have your babies, will you write more?

Ack! I don't want babies! If you have my babies, I'll flee to another planet!

(Heh, to Planet Fabulon. XD Have you been to that site? I adore it.)

You mean, you're wanting Yoh and Fei? That would be a loooooong story. But maybe I'll write pieces of it here and there.

Even if the babies come out looking like our favourite Yamane-sensei characters?

(Mmmm yes... I have fond memories of that site!)

I want Fei to find out about this. Imagine the amount of emotional blackmail! XD But I'll settle for pieces, yes I will!

Oh, I liked it. The idea that Yoh and Asami are brothers. Cool. You wrote it well. I was only midly shocked when Asami briefly thought of incest and the new half brother he just met. Wow. Good story. It was interesting to see both brothers then and now...later both in love and changing in a good way. It was cute to see Asami giving his brother advice regarding Yoh's love of Fei (of all people). Interesting. You made it all work and seem plausible. Early Asami toying with Suoh was interesting and seeing him in his rise of power to who he became later was fun. Your creative twist gave a whole new slant to the Viewfinder Hong Kong arc and Yoh's relationship with Takaba etc. I enjoyed this while waiting to be called out to work. I wonder if YA would read it and get ideas. Asami and Yoh's past are total mysteries and your take was very novel and very workable. Cannot wait to see where YA goes with it and am so happy to see you back writing again. Thank you. cat

Thank you. :) To me Asami and his sex drive are inseparable, so any new experience would perk his interest up. I don't know that he acted upon it though. I have the feeling he found Yoh to be much less cute in the long run. XD

I think Asami wants Feilong to succeed and be happy, and he'd want that for a loyal brother as well. He probably considers that Feilong with Yoh would be a Feilong who was much less trouble to him, and even beneficial.

PS. Wonder what Fei will think once or if he ever discovers who Yoh really is...considering how long he was in love/hate with Asami...and then to have the brother in love with him....hmmmmmmmmmm....interesting ideas...could go so many ways....

Ooooh I enjoyed this. What a fantastic way to connect Asami and Yoh. I've often wondered at what their relationship might have been like pre-series and this is a really cool interpretation.

I would be so excited if something like this turned out to be the truth. It serves as a wonderful explanation for how Yoh could remain loyal to Asami despite his obvious respect and/or love for Feilong.

As always, nicely written and well-characterised. Always dig your Asami snark ;D

Thanks. :) I kept thinking about why Yoh's loyalties would still be split, and this was my favorite answer. It would be fun if it were true, but I'm not holding my breath. XD

What a great idea came to your light head! Brilliant! This should be a canon!
Now we must put it in sensei's head by any means - for it will be the best and most intriguing way to continue Fei + Yoh story!))
I like your Yoh - my man!^^)
btw, the manga gives it - they are really look alike to me in many ways...)
and your story screams for continuation, so do I!)

LOL, thank you. Sensei may already be thinking about it, since it was her art and story that put it into my head. They do seem alike. :)
