Yay to not loosing miserably!

Well, I had to wake up at 9:00 today to spar with my dad... And also I sparred once with my mom as well. It was pretty ok. I mean, I had about 3 matches against my dad and I won one... Geuss who won the other two ^_^ And then I just had one match with my mom and of course I won. My mom's getting rusty, but then again she hasn't been practicing. The one thing that always got me was how my dad always strikes at my weak point REPETITIVLY. You'r think that by now I'd kinda like, you know catch up on that but no, he always finds someway to make his combos meld together with his final attack which is the attack on my weak point. Sparring with my dad is hard though! Whatever happened to "The older you get the more cranky and weak you get?" I mean come on! I should be the one who's winning two nothing. I have to say though, the last one was very close. I almost won but then I got knocked off my feet with a scissor trip or a whatever you call it in english. wait, let me get my awesome language thingy out so that I can put it proffesionally into vietnamese. ... ... ... Hai cái cũc Chŭng... At least I think it's spelled that way. I can't remember... Which anyways, in literal translation means "two kinds that cut feet". And of course, I didn't dodge it in time so I fell flat on my face and bruised me forhead. :S why does this always happen to me?

Of course, then my mom was yelling at me and saying that if I had sais or a sword in hand that I probably would have stabbed myself in the stomach by now and how I was way to irresponsible and how she could never trust me with sharp (Hey, can't blame her because I would think that I would probably somehow set the thing on fire and somehow magically stab like 6 people until I finally reached my tragic end of falling flat on my face and the sharp object plunging through my stomach :/) So, now I'll just be content with hand to hand combat until I can buy some swords and then smuggle them into the house, have my mom take them away from me and hide them with the rest of the pointy sharp objects (Wherever she puts them) and pretends like she threw them away when she really didn't because everybody knows how costly weapons are and of course since my dad is also... Well a dad he'll want to keep these things that my mom calls "junk" of course, even in vietnam she would let me go anywhere NEAR her old sais... she though I was gonna somehow sit on it and break it.

Wow, I've written alot. I feel proud that I was able to beat my dad though ^_^ It was the second match that I had against my dad and I won. It was so awesome, but then the last match I had to lose :/ Of course, now I'm scared to go downstairs because I think the floorboards have become broken and jaggedy from the many times I've fallen on my ass because of it ^_^;;; That's ok though. Some people who know my might be wondering how on earth I could spar in my basment because of all the furniture and crap. Well, see that's why it's called "Force Carolyne to push all the furniture in neat areas in order to spar." And then my dad chastised me on not being able to "use my surroundings effectivley". But how can I do that when we're in our basment?!!? and besides that, I didn't wanna go outside because it was too cold... Lol, so anyways, that's my rant of the day ^_^

Ah yes, I had an awesome time sparring with my dad. It was one of the most entertaining things that I've done yet... Well, besides sparring with my brother. He can do a Lohm Giay kick!! It's so crazy because it's just... AAAH!!!

Ciao,
