Spring update!
There are no truer words than "the merry, merry month of May!" I love Spring, the trees are green with new leaves, some with gorgeous flowering blooms! The scent of Autumn Olive bushes flowering fills the air, it really makes my daily walks all the more enjoyable! The temperatures are in the sixties and seventies, which is perfect for me, though we have also had some Summer temperatures lately. The old record of eighty-six set in 1974 was broken in the Lehigh Valley on April twenty-ninth when the thermometer reached eighty-eight degrees! The Spring weather here in Pennsylvania can rival the best weather anywhere.
It's going to be a busy week for yours truly. I have a dental appointment on Monday (regular six month check-up), Tom has an appointment with his pain management doctor on Tuesday, and then I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Wednesday. I am not looking forward to being on a liquid diet all day Tuesday, but after the procedure on Wednesday, Tom and I are going to an all you can eat Chinese buffet! I'm also having the molar that cracked on Halloween last year removed on May twenty-first. The Walnutport Canal Association is having their annual all you can eat breakfast on May nineteenth.
After having owned multiple "value phones" (BLU View 2, BLU View 3, Samsung Galaxy A03, Samsung Galaxy A13 & A14), I was offered a deal by Consumer Cellular that I simply could not pass up! I've purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (512 GB), which is their top of the line or "flagship" phone. It usually retails for a little over fourteen hundred, but the sale price was a little over a thousand (four hundred dollar savings!). I'm not a fan of Apple, so I will never own an iPhone, so this is the phone I plan on keeping over the next three to five years unless there is something significant about upgrading to a newer phone sooner.
