Todaaaaay, I:
-paid SBU a bullshit amount of $20 because they charge you for taking 21 credits or over or something like that. Last semester I had my highest gpa ever and took 23 credits. They should pay me instead! /conceited
-burnt the roof of my tongue on fish. I bit my cheek last week (really badly) and have been IN AGONY since and JUST when it was finishing healing up I get a nice bit of roof-skin peeled off for my troubles. GA-ROSS.
-experienced severe caffeine and sleep deprivation. I had a giant canned double shot and was still starting to lose it in Italian class. Which is finally starting to kick my ass oh god oh god so many tenses and moods WHAT do Italians DO with all of them? I blame our terrible textbook. Cough I miss French.
-got the USG check for the Multicultural Show & Food Tasting event. Persian Club is going to give out ~*~free food~*~ so if you're free on Friday night please come. I might read a poem. Or talk about Norouz. Who knows.
What else is on my mind? My thesis, oh lord. I have to pick up the pace. Fear is starting to set in. Desperation, sadness, oh noe-ing. It's funny, some days I know exactly what's going on but can't find time to write, other days I can't bring myself to do mean things to my characters, other days I get muddled in editing rather than writing...sigh. I hope that works out. Other than that, yesterday I tried out to be our class' Commencement Speaker. They will probably pick someone with better credentials / someone with an actual future. Oh well. The speech I wrote was pretty good, so hopefully I'll get to use it somewhere.
I-CON is soon. I'm freaking out, I'm so excited. It's going to be so fun, and I really really want to actually go to panels this year. I also want to see if I can display art, though that might be hard considering I have 0 finished illustrations, lolz. The only bad thing is that this upcoming week is going to be horrible in terms of work due. I will have two practice MCAT exams to do, a Bio midterm, Psy homework to hand in, and a take-home Italian midterm. So y'all might not hear from me for a while. Urgh. MCAT *screams into night*
Alright, the agenda for the rest of the night is to finish Tigana (which is AMAZING and the thought of it being over and having no more story to the characters is making me PHYSICALLY ILL just like when I was finishing Lions of al-Rassan, Guy Gavriel Kay has my heart forever and ever, there is a REASON Jacqueline Carey recommends it to readers, holy crap, etc etc), study MCAT, and write. Sleep goes in there somewhere, too. At least the weather is picking up ♥.
