I would say it was a toss between Laura Ingalls Wilder and Lucy Maud Montgomery.

Dahl's "Matilda". The Anne of Green Gables series. The Little House series. The Babysitter's Club series. The Boxcar Children.
7. Which male/female literary character would you like to take out on a date and why?
Paul Trout from "White Oleander" and Elphaba from "Wicked", because they both kick ass.

Christopher Moore. I bet he's fucking hilarious.

Assuming I'd get my one-on-one with Elphaba in on our date, Miranda Priestly from "The Devil Wears Prada". If she'd deign to speak with me, of course.

Ingrid Magussun from "White Oleander". I bet she'd have fun torturing me toward a slow, painful, mental demise.

Noah Callhoun circa the middle of "The Notebook". He's the resourceful (and handsome!) sort.

"Wicked"'s Oz.

"Brokeback Mountain", "Fight Club" (though boo on the ending), and "White Oleander". I don't feel like explaining myself.

"The Davinci Code" sucked royally, and I have no idea why Dan Brown is an effing bestseller. Also, "Heart of Darkness" (which I've managed to read three times) is a pain in socities' ass.
