It took me a couple of years, but I finally got around to picking up my own copies of Harry Potter.

Except not Deathly Hallows, because I don't want six paperbacks and one hardback, so I'll wait.

And not Order of the Phoenix, because they were out. Although that's easily rectified.

Megan says YAY (possibly just because I won't be pestering her to borrow them anymore) and that I will REALLY ENJOY DEATHLY HALLOWS when she loans it to me. As of about six o'clock she was about a third of the way through, so I suspect I won't have to wait long.

Although apparently Mom almost went out and bought a copy of Deathly Hallows for me today. And then decided not to for some equally inexplicable reason.

I played a game of Canada Here and Now Monopoly with Erica, which we have just recently acquired. The smallest bill is $10k, the largest is $5 million, and passing Go! gets you $2 million. So I guess it's all modernized. I managed to own Robson Street, the CN tower, and Niagara Falls (the latter two being the equivalent of Boardwalk and Park Place, although no one landed on them), but Erica managed to get Magnetic Hill after my mild hysteria at discovering that it was a property.

Also, one of the utilities is the Internet, which kills me. No one managed to buy it, though.

books, harry potter, megan, monopoly, erica
