I've made so many friend during school. Had so many amazing times with those people. My biggest fear, now that im out of shcool, is that i will not stay in touch withthose i spent most of my early life with. But things change. People change. We have lives to live.
Delbrook was a blur. All i can remember is nap time, dressing up as British Guards(u know, those ones who dont move), and my mother dropping me off every day.
Larson. I made some friends. I'll always remember Curtis Reid. We had a love for hockey. We loved the Canucks. The day i got moved out of his class into a "new" class, i cried. We cried. It was just before X-Mas break. And after X-Mas break, we were so glad to see each other, we hugged. All the other kids thought we were wierd. Oh, how i wonder where that kid is these days.
In the summer, we moved to the island. My dad owned a house here, and our house in North Van was getting mowed over to make room for apartments(to this day, it never happened, my old house is still there). I met so many kids at Royston El. Adam, Dawson, Jolene, Cam Reid and of course, Richard. I remember the first day i met Richard. it was on the bus, just after report cards were handed out. he got straight A's. i was like "whoa, you got straight A's". He was modest and said "yea, i didn't even try!". We hung out on and off. It was cool.
Cumberland. Teenage years. Union Bay, Cumberland and Royston kids. Once again, met amazing friends and my all time fav teacher; Mr. White. he ruled. My Advisroy teacher, as well as my Gr.7 Math teacher. the kids from Union Bay were great. Jason, Myke, Dougie and Josh. I still talk to those kids from time to time. I like Myke the most. haha.
After grade 9 i moved to Burnaby because of a job my step mother got. I didn't like Carla to begin with, this didn't help. My first day was wierd. I didn't know anyone, but met a girl named Jenn. She was friendly, and i hung with her for a bit. She introduced me to many kids. 2 of whom i consider some of the more dearer friends of mine; Jerome and Anna. I didn't hang with Jerome much, we were just in the same PE class. He was rad. Nice guy. Anna, another i didn't talk to much while at Cariboo, but i'll never forget the day she poured tanning lotion on herself, and me, thinking she had cancer because of the blotchy outcome. It wasn't until i moved back to the island did i become good friends with the both of them. Before i left, Jenn and i had romance haha. Nothing serious, but i started spending a lot of time with her. It kinda sucked, the timing you know.
Back to the Island, i came back to everyone i had left at Cumberland. Isfeld was different, now with the combined UnionBay-Cumberland-Royston kids settling into a school dominated by the Courtenay kids. No harsh rivalry had developed between the 2 schools and people were welcoming other people with open arms. Again, i made more new friends. I really missed my old friends. Cariboo was great, but it was just amazing to be back with Isfeld, and to see how much i was missed by people. It's comforting. At time however, i felt like i would've rather been back at Cariboo, but it wouldn't have worked out, so i finished my final year at Isfeld.
All in all, i couldn't have gotten by in school without friends. Friends are what make you. Friends are what break you. Without friends, what do you have? I know, without the, i wouldn't be myself. I guess Carly is right. Friends make you who you are and directly influence you. To anyone reading this, you must be a friend, and i thank you. For everything..
It's hot here.
Beach party in a bit.
I took a picture today.
