(no subject)
Haven't really gotten a damn thing done yet today, which is unfortunate. But I did get to have a semi-free lunch at Uno with Dan, which is fortunate. :)
I didn't get the check yesterday that I was hoping for. I really, really, really hope I get it today. If I don't get it soon I'm going to have to call this woman and harass her again. It sucks. I know she's good for the money -- she's already paid me for two other dresses. I suppose that maybe she's changed her mind and doesn't want these three, but if that's the case, she should just box them up & send them back to me -- I'd get the hint. Rather, I suspect that she's flaked out on me and just keeps forgetting to mail it . . .
Dance class was lovely last night. Waltz group class was an acceptable warm up, and then I spent 45 minutes on my mambo routine, my bolero routine, and learning that I do the 5th, 6th and 7th steps in twinkles with a continuity finish incorrectly. Drat! Yet another thing to add to the list of things I do wrong. I know, that's not the best way to think of it . . . how about this: another thing to add to the list of things I can improve on. ;)
I did pay $500 toward the Costa Mesa trip. Woo hoo! Actually, that is good news because now the check I get from this woman (if it ever comes) will totally cover the rest of the cost of the trip (minus airfare, which is to be a birthday gift from my mother) less $50, which I'm fairly confident I can come up with in the next 2 weeks. :)
I did add stones to my mom's new latin dress -- about 100. It now has over 5000 on it (1000 of which I've put on) and needs several hundred more. I'm actually hoping that I don't run out of them before I'm done with the dress, because if I have to order more, I'm not certain I'll get them in time for the June Showcase . . . and I'd really like her to have this dress by then.
I scheduled a make up lesson tonight for the one I missed last Friday because of the bachelorette party. Which makes for a double tonight, which makes me uncertain as to whether or not I should try to make it to the barn tonight. I probably *should* but that could be tight. I could just work 6 hours today, go to the barn for an hour and make it back in time for my lessons, or I could work a FULL day, skip the barn, and still make it for my lessons. Not sure which to do . . . I think I'll decide based on how much work I get done this afternoon. If I'm really on a roll, I won't quit early to go to the barn, but if I'm kind of floundering, I may as well make the time up some other time.
