some pictures from my trip to the Sanford Zoo last week. 33 in all.
and Constance, there's some squrrel pictures below just for you :)
bald eagles
random dinosaur in the middle of the swamp
squirrel! I got quite a few pictures of him... he would let me get pretty close as long as I didn't make any sudden moves. I followed him down most of this section of the boardwalk.
I like this shot :)
caracal
serval
red ruffed lemurs
bee on a bottle brush tree
not sure what kind of plant this was but I liked how the flowers came out on it
like this shot :)
the elephants Mary and Maude
feeding time for the black howler monkeys
black-handed spider monkey
close-up!
he came over to visit me in front of the viewing area for a few minutes. it was so cool.
a gorgeous macaw. he didn't talk much. he was completely out in the open so I think he was injured in a way that he'd probably never fly away. he looked kinda sad.
Aldabra tortoise. It looks like he fell asleep in his food but he was happily chomping away at whatever was in there.
You can purchase a plank on one of the boardwalks in memory/honor/celebration of someone. Probably half the boardwalk planks had dedications on them.
red kangaroo
there were 5 or 6 emu in the same pen with the kangaroos
cougar
Grand Cayman rock iguana
American alligator
American crocodile
