This is actually the sequel to another piece I wrote last month.  Magistra17sum mentioned that she would love to see an office romance between accountants involving a calculator, a leaky pen, an overly-involved boss, and a pair of brown eyes. I couldn't quite fit the leaky pen in, but I covered the rest.

"Do you know," Brian drawled as he set a cup of coffee onto Greg's desk, "that it's been forty-three hours since the last time I saw you naked.

Greg jerked in surprise, knocking his adding machine to the floor. He could feel a blush spread up his cheeks at he glared at Brian. "Will you knock it off?" he hissed through clenched teeth, even as he listened to Sylvia giggling across the cubicle wall.

Brian leaned forward and kissed him on the nose. "No."

He took a step back, though, and settled into the chair in the corner of Greg's cubicle. "So, how are we going to fix this problem?" he asked, sipping his own coffee.

Greg gathered up his adding machine and placed it back on the desk, noting with relief that nothing was broken. "What problem?" he asked absently.

Brian raked his eyes over Greg, leering. "The fact that I haven't seen you naked in nearly two days."

"You could take him home with you tonight," Sylvia called from the adjoining cubicle. "I know for a fact he doesn't have plans."

"Best news I've heard all day," Brian sang happily.

Greg blew on his coffee to cool it and shook his head. "Sorry. Can't. Nicholas wants me to stay late again."

Eyes narrowing, Brian leaned forward in his chair. "Again? That's the third time this week. What is up with that guy?"

Privately, Greg wondered the same thing. Most of the overtime seemed to be just busy work. Granted, yearend was just around the corner. But it still shouldn’t require quite this much overtime.

"Can't you talk to him?" Brian whined, and Greg sighed inwardly at the fact that his boyfriend could sound cute even when whining. It wasn't fair. If he tried that particular tone of voice, he'd just come out sounding petulant. When Brian did it, Greg had the overwhelming urge to give into the man's every desire.

Not that those desires were very hard to give into.

"I'm sorry. I just don't think I can-" he broke off as the topic of their conversation stepped into the cube.

Nicholas was a bit intimidating at the best of times. He was generally the first to the office and the last to leave, he always insisted on wearing a full suit when everyone else settled for slacks and a dress shirt, and he somehow managed to find every small error that any of his employees made. He was a fair boss, as quick to praise as he was to chastise, but almost everyone was a little afraid of him.

Really, Sylvia was the only one who didn't seem intimidated. She just thought he was hot.

"All set to go over the accruals this evening, Greg?" Was it just his imagination, or did there seem to be the faintest look of panic in his supervisor's eyes? Greg blinked and ignored the idea. He was probably just imagining things.

He was just opening his mouth to agree that he would be ready at five o'clock, as planned, when Brian stood.

"Actually, Nick, I was wondering if Greg could have the night off."

"What are you doing?" Greg hissed, kicking the back of Brian's ankle. Brian winced slightly, but continued to smile winningly at Nicholas.

Nicholas in turn was staring back and forth between them, a look of confusion on his face.

Brian placed a possessive hand on the small of Greg's back and continued smoothly. "We had dinner plans tonight, you know? And I hate to break a reservation."

Greg was going to kill the man. He tried to shrug away from the fingers resting against his back, but there wasn't enough room in the crowded cubicle for him to escape.

Nicholas's eyes widened as he saw the way Brian was standing just a bit too close to Greg. They narrowed again in thought as he mouthed the word "dinner" silently. Finally he raised his eyes to look directly into Greg's.

"You and he are…?" he trailed off, but Greg knew exactly what he was asking. He struggled to think of some reply, but Brian beat him to it again.

"Together. Yes. For a few weeks now." Brian turned to give him a fond look and Greg considered whether it would be justifiable homicide if he killed his boyfriend with an adding machine right then, right there. Did the man have any sense of propriety? Apparently not.

"Oh! Oh, I see." Nicholas's words stumbled a little as he seemed to come to a realization. His eyes bore holes into Greg, making him squirm. "But I thought you and Sylvia…" He trailed off, even as Brian burst into laughter.

"Sorry. It's not funny, but it kind of is. Greg here very much bats for the other team, if you know what I mean. And even if he didn't, he's totally not Sylvia's type." Brian lowered his voice and twitched his head toward Sylvia's cubicle. "She likes tall, dark, and successful, if you know what I mean."

He raised one perfect eyebrow, and Nicholas seemed instantly uncomfortable.

"What are you guys talking about over there? I heard my name!"

Greg noted that Sylvia's voice had the most interesting effect on his supervisor. Nicholas's cheeks turned a faint pink, and a look of panic set into his features. Suddenly, Greg had a very good idea why he'd been asked to stay late so often. He slid a look at his boyfriend and noticed that Brian looked entirely too smug. He'd figured it out immediately, of course. Damn the man.

Well, there wasn't much else to do. Greg leaned forward and whispered to Nicholas, "She's been dying to see the new Captain America movie, but nobody will go with her. And she likes sushi."

Nicholas blinked once, twice, and then finally nodded. His face turned suddenly thoughtful and he pulled out his phone. "Alright. That could work. There's an 8pm showing." He paused and gave Greg a distracted look. "I think we can talk in the morning about those accruals. Go ahead and take off if you want to. Have a nice dinner."

Greg shook his head, bemused and turned to Brian. "She's going to kill us, you know."

Brian just grinned and groped him. "I wouldn't worry too much. She's had a bit of a crush for a while.  She keeps gushing about his dreamy brown eyes."  He grimaced.  "I personally prefer pretty green eyes myself."  Greg rolled his pretty green eyes and flicked Brian in the arm.

"Besides, we have more important things to worry about." He nudged Greg out of the way and began expertly closing all the open programs on his computer, logging him off with a few key strokes.

Greg shook his head and began packing up his bag. "What more important things?" he asked, though he knew the answer. He just liked hearing it.

Brian's stepped behind him and kissed his ear lightly. "Seeing you naked, of course."
