Kissing Alexi

Alexi and Jon go to a New Year's party...

-

(This is a total rewrite, because I could not for the life of me find the previous version. Hope those of you that read the old one like the new one, as much if not more.)

When Alexi asked Jon to meet her at Roxy's instead of picking her up, he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Or maybe he was just over analyzing it, like always. He'd mostly managed to not freak himself out, and thus not hyperventalate (mostly), by the time he got there. Another group was at the door before him, and one was walking up behind him, so he got a little lost in a jumble of people. Once he'd freed himself, he was standing in front of who he assumed was Roxy. Why assume? Because she was a redhead in a red dress, and Alexi loved to tease he friend about trying to 'pull that off'.

"Welcome!" She beamed at him, blue eyes crinkling at the corners. "Drinks are at the bar, self service, and the music is not avalible for change on request, so don't bother asking. Okay?"

Yup, this was Roxy. "That's fine." Another group of people pushed past behind him, calling greetings on their way toward the center of the living room. "Actually I'm looking for-"

"Jon!"

Turning at Alexi's squeal of delight, he watched her hurry over and forgot to breath for a second. Purple, of course everything was purple (it was Alexi), but that *dress*! Haltered, mid-thigh length, tight, silk, and with a good three inch slit on one side to show off even more of her legs... Baseball, think about baseball. Reaching him, she leaned up to kiss him on the cheek. "Hey." Yeah, his response was lame, but he was still a little oxygen deprived from his first look at her in that dress.

"This is him?" Roxy eyed him up and down. "Not bad for a nerd."

Alexi stuck her tongue out at her friend, arms going around his waist. Jon didn't feel guilty about warpping his arms around her shoulders until he realized how low cut the back of the dress was, then he felt a little pervy. Baseball, more baseball. "Back off, he's mine."

"All yours, I know, I know." Snickering, Roxy made 'shoo' gestures. "Go be lovebirds somewhere else."

Giggling, Alexi pulled him towards where everyone else seemed to be gathering.

Pulling his attention from Alexi's ass (he was defenseless, really) he glanced up and gulped. Oh, right, people... socializing. Ick.

-

If he had one more person ask him which one of 'those games' he played again, he might scream. As it was, he was bored out of his mind. It was either be involved in a  conversation that he had no interest in or... eye Alexi's legs. The first was what he'd been doing because the second was just plain dangerous.

"Wanna dance?" Caught off gaurd, Jon blinked and looked at Alexi, she laughed. "Dancing. To music. For fun. With your girlfriend?"

Kissing her, he sighed. "Smart ass."

Giggling, she kissed him. "Oh, hush, you love my ass."

Well, she had him there. "Dancing then?"

"Mmmhmm." She stood, smoothing her skirt (probably just to be mean), and then pulled him after her. "Dancing." Once they were in the middle of the largest cavvent area, she moved into his arms. "Having fun?"

Putting his hands on her hips, he smiled. "Yeah, I really am."

Giggling, she shook her head. "Liar."

"Nu-uh." He rested his forehead against her's. "I'm having fun  now."

-

"You wanna go somewhere quiet?" Alexi asked, voice soft, the words breathed into his ear.

Humming, he nuzzled her hair. She smelled like vanilla. "Sure, as long as you're there."

Laughing softly, she pulled back from him, smiling. "Come on, then."

Following her, he wondered if this was leading where he thought it was, or if she was just being nice because there were so many loud people crowded into the apartment now. Shaking his head, he sighed at himself. It didn't matter, not really. He was with Alexi, and that was where Jon liked to be best, so it was all good.

Unlocking a door (he was a little worried where she'd been hiding the key), Alexi hurried him in before closing and locking it behind them. It wasn't purple, so it must be Roxy's room. "Better?"

The thumping techno music was more of a dull humm now. "Yes, thanks."

"Happy to help." They stood there for a moment, neither moving, just staring at each other. Then they both moved foreward at the same time, slowly, and kissed. Pulling Alexi close, Jon was struck again by how perfect she was. More than anyone else he'd ever met, she was just... right.

Damn but he was lucky.
