Hello, fellow Snugglers! (No, it is not Sunday anywhere, but since this is not a story I may be excused?)
I'm not sure about you, but I have been pretty immersed in genres other than romance (*cough*smut*cough*) for a while, and I'm a little rusty on ideas. So I went 'net-diving.
And immediately came up with a giant squid.
TV Tropes being the all-consuming pit of fascination that it is, I was amazed that, a mere three hours later, I escaped! And with productive information!
Here is a list of romance novel tropes for your edification, concoction, and subversion purposes. They make good prompts and ideas, and of course it's a good idea to familiarize oneself with common themes of their chosen media. You could also read the entire Harlequin library, but that would take even more time than this site, which is an achievement I can tell you.
