It's hot in the worm

HEJ GUISE.  So, I've been having this argument with myself (lol I see what you did thar) that I'm not at all happy with the way I've been neglecting this poor poofed-up LJ lately.  Surely it's one of those cases where my life is a string of non-interesting tales which does not transfer well to text, but whatever said I, I shall make an effort henceforth!  To write maybe two to three times a week like I used to, for instance?  Mmm, we'll see.  The week after the next I'll go back to my academic ventures at night, then maybe I'll feel compelled to write more.  If that makes sense.

Breaking news: it's not so hot anymore!  It rained a lot last night, after what felt like an eternity without any trace or whiff of rain, and I guess it helped bring down the temperatures.  I mean, it's not that much of a difference, but you can feel it ~in the air~.  We need moar rainstorms!  Or we'll just go back to Scorching Summer of Doom '10 in a few days' time *wail*.

This will likely be old news for most of you, but it bears repeating: Neil Gaiman is to write an episode for Doctor Who!  Most widely known (or at the very least suspected) secret evah?  Possibly.  It's only series 6, so more than a year away, about 14 months apparently, but hurrah!  Which also means, I've actually met someone who has written for the show!  Well, he wouldn't have written it back in July 2008 just yet, I presume.  Or I dunno, maybe.  Wibbly wobbly.  Still very much cool, though!

selenak has quite a good selection of quotes off the updated edition of The Writer's Tale, and this might be just my favourite of what I've seen so far: "I just channel-hopped and caught The Sound of Drums. Am I on drugs when I write these things?"  LOL NO SHIT; we knew that already, no need to harp on about it!

Anyway, what else must I say.  Oh yeah, I even went to a job application yesterday morning when there was no job to apply for, so I don't even know why I bothered exactly.  And the HR woman said I did indeed look like someone who would enjoy rock music.  What.  Oh!  I guess that's nice?  One wouldn't want to look like a genre of music one doesn't happen to enjoy.  Perhaps I should've done this on the spot, hmm what do you think?  LMAO.

Let the countdown commence: 37 days 'til Franz!  *rocks out*  ;)
