WHO WILL BE THE RESIDENT KICKASS FEMALE SPY RIGHT?!? Well, there's still Ruth, but I don't know if she'll leave at the end either and she's not a field agent anyway though I WISH SHE WERE DOING MORE THIS SERIES, GROAN WRITERS.

I also do not like the fact that there are only 2 episodes left woeeeeeees :(

IKR??? NO-ONE WILL EVER BE AS HARDCORE AS HER. I was thinking that about Ruth- it seems weird that they went to such trouble to get her back, only to barely use her character at all. Maybe next series she'll be more prominent?

It's gone so fast! It wasn't that long ago that I was excited about this series starting, and now it's almost over! On the bright side, that means the next series of Ashes to Ashes hopefully isn't that far away!!!

Oh I bloody well hope so, otherwise it will just seem an afterthought they had, "So ... we're doing Jo in, who should we bring in that will please the fans? Oh that's right, Ruth!" and not even bother to give her any ~attention~ beyond the first episode. NOT COOL. And when at last she had the chance to ask Harry out for drinks, Tariq cut her off most ungentlemanly. I do like you Tariq, but ... HUUUUH BAD TIMING DUDE.

Ikr. Damn this 8-episode series business, let's go back to 10 like it was in the olden days! ZOMG A2A. Though April is far too looooooooong still homg and the fact that it will be the last one for good this time nooooooooooooo.

Okay, due to the comment notification rubbish, I didn't even realise you'd replied, so sorry for the late comment!

It's so strange how they're managing Ruth- she's really done nothing at all so far. I agree about Tariq- I like him, but god! Did he have to tell Harry right at that moment?!? I'm curious to see exactly how their relationship develops over the last two episodes of this series- I hope they don't just ignore it!

A2A!!! April does seem like ages, doesn't it? We've lasted this long, though, so I think we'll make it. I can't believe this is the last series, though! I'm gonna miss them all so much!

Haha no problem, I know how difficult it is to keep track of comments without the notifs. Thankfully it is sorted now, we can rest easy ;).

Fer srs. I miss the days where she was ~essential~ to the plot because she knew dead languages/stuff no one else in the Grid knew and SAVED THE DAY YAY! Alas, I hope they get her into doing something these last two eps at least. Also, apparently there's some Harry/Ruth action in the next episode, according to this blog post. (I HOPE THERE'S A SERIES 9, OTHERWISE I'D BE V. SADFACED.)

IT DOES. 4 MONTHS! ARGH! However it does not seem that it's actually been longer (6 MONTHS! WOT?) since the last series ended? IDK, MAYBE I'M CRAZEH.

Yeah, surely they could've given her more to do! I miss those days too- it used to be awesome when Ruth was the one who figured something pivotal out. I miss her. That's awesome to read about Harry/Ruth! It's a bit sad though that a simple hand-touch is so exciting. Why can't they just make out, show??? (If there is no series 9, I will be so upset! That would be the worst thing ever!)

You're completely right (and not at all crazy!)- it doesn't feel at all like it's been 6 months since the show was last on. It's gone so fast! Hopefully the next 4 months is equally quick!
