A summer Sunday chiming of bodies brown

As promised, I went to see Bright Star this afternoon and HOMG *flail*.

Discombobulated thoughts, mostly:
+ Okay, I must own up to my deficiencies.  I had never read a word by Keats before (or, have I?), so that wasn't really the reason I wanted to watch this but mainly because it's a BRITISH COSTUME DRAMA FILM :B.  My bias (and weakness) is showing, yes I am perfectly aware.  The penchants of a woman must be satisfied after all.  Besides, I'd seen the trailer, the poster and the promo shots way before I even knew there would be screenings in the festival, and I thought it looked pretty therefore my determination was settled: I MUST SEE IT.

+ I'M GLAD I WAS DETERMINED, FOR IT WAS PRETTY INDEED.  Gorgeous cinematography.  Why yes, I'm terribly technical; make everything look pretty and colourful and I'm easily pleased, hem hem.

+ Hi kid from Love Actually and Doctor Who -- he's quite grown since "Human Nature" & "Family of Blood", I was surprised!  Hi Posner, you were one of my favourite history boys!  Hi Martha off Cranford (and some other things as well)!  Hi ... other people I might not have recognised!

+ BEN WHISHAW CUDDLING A PURRING KITTEH.  I DIED OF CUTE.  Also, the whole of the Christmas party was ♥!  And the singing party as well!

+ The scenes with Fanny and John in the garden, and then her sister leading them back home were SO LOVELY OH JOY ♥.

+ I had sand in mah eyes at the end, as it was to be expected hee.  ;(

+ In conclusion: LOVED IT V. MUCHLY INDEED, WOULD SEE IT AGAIN (probably shall sooner than I think), A++.  GO SEE IT, SHOO!

(Oh god, it's rubbish review time!  Alright, it wasn't a review per se, it was just my enthusiastic self going "IT'S LOVELY YOU SHOULD GO SEE IT TOO", which is true, you know.)

On the subject of festival and films: I'm planning on seeing An Education next week and be done with it.  There was this poster for The Edge of Love (Cillian Murphy!) on the cinema foyer, but ... meh, don't think will be seeing that one either.  I wanted Glorious 39 GODDAMMIT!
