YAY IT'S BACK. *jigs animatedly* Ahem.
It was alright for a first episode, I guess, and the scene at the beginning, at the hospital with the nurses and the news about Alex and the faceless man (woman?) lying in bed, was definitely intriguing. WHO COULD THAT BE? OEEER. I'm thinking maybe Doctor Death or the Fishy Flowers-Deliverin' Man, or it's both because they're the same person, which seems likely. There was also a random iPod upon that chest of drawers, so it couldn't be Ian Curtis Layton, but it might as well be Significant. I'm hoping it won't be Gene, or Sam (far-fetched as it sounds!), nor any of them really. It's probably just the man who's reportedly stuck in 1982 with Alex, who was somehow involved in holding back the grieving hordes during Princess Diana's funeral, and is also leaving all kinds of clues about that, weirdly enough; sooooo I dunno, Alex would actually be from 1997, not 2008 as she thinks she is? And Gene's Major Tom. AND her dad. I do miss the Bowie clown however.
I leapt up at Gene's line "I know why you're here. All you had to do was ask. You're here for the same reason that I am."; I thought he was about to say Something of Significance, like the dog and the old lady with a man's voice lolz, but then he descended into something copper-ish which was disappointing, but maybe it isn't all THAT disappointing with its ~hidden meanings~. Oh and the stripper girl was from Hyde! Gratuitous name-dropping, mmm?
Chris stripping was hilarious, and OMG the song choice. I ROLF'd heartily, I did asdfgahsdfghasfgdas. As for Supermac and the underlying corruption in the CID ... it will be interesting to see how that works out; I can't imagine Gene not being a double-agent, infiltrated into the dark side of the force, but what will become of him when all is out in the open?! OOOH FORTHCOMING MYSTERIES.
:B :B :B
MOAR GENE/ALEX be my final thoughts. SHUT UP, HATERS TO THE LEFT.
