Moving Away From Mars

Well, it seems that as the Red Planet slowly fades away from its proximity to the Big Blue Marble, things are easing up a bit. I've secured a new job - granted at a 30% pay-cut (thank you Mr. President et alia), but at least it's a job with benefits. The environment is great, too. I'll be the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Department of World Languages and Cultures at a local university, reporting directly to the Department Chair and responsible for 18 full-time faculty and 50 part-time faculty, as well as managing the departmental budget. (Talk about doing more for less!!!) The possibilities are good, I get a good feeling and the Department chair likes me, so that's a BIG plus.

My FellowCraft is next week, I start the new job, and I'm going to Paris to interpret for the anglophone communities for one of the biggest Martinist events in a long time... the 200th anniversary commemoration of the death of Louis-Claude de Saint Martin. Everyone who's anyone will most likely be there ... M. Cyvard, Yves-Fred, possibly Serge ... don't know if Amadou will be up to it... Kotzamanis from Greece ... it's going to be quite an affair!

Slowly continuing work on the translation of the book ... hope to have it ready for publication in a couple weeks... then on to the next one!
