...wow...
Uh....wow. Let me start out by saying I almost cried. This is big. Everyone says my heart is made of ice, and I almost cried when River did her whole speech about how the Doctor knew she would die. Huge. (Mind that I am on my period. I think I'm chalking most of it up to that. :P) And even though she didn't really endear herself to me in the last episode, I really liked her in this one. Wow. I knew when she whispered in his ear that she was whispering his name (yay for themes of the series!). I didn't even mind that Rose wasn't mentioned. As far as I know...I totally missed the drawings last week. Oh, and I completely loved Donna, as usual. I'm kinda hoping that she finds her man (can't remember his name...) because she so deserves someone good. And that "Alright" scene was so good.
Just wow. I am blown away by this season. The episodes are just fantastic.
Just some musing on Moffat episodes.....he doesn't like people dying. I just sort of snickered when River's on with her whole "Everyone lives" thing. "The Doctor Dances", anyone? Actually, he's also big on love. I mean, think about it. Nancy's love for Jamie, Reinette's love for the Doctor, Sally...well there was a lot of love in that episode, River and the Doctor and Miss Evangelista....a lot more. Which is great, because I love character driven storylines, which is I guess how I view all these. I am so looking forward to when he takes over, as much as I really like RTD.
Ok, hopefully this made sense. I'm a bit out of it, but...yeah. I might be back with some more thoughts on the episode, but for right now...this is good. :P Oh and next week looks weird. With probably no Donna. What the hell? Oh well....it's David, in a t-shirt instead of a collared shirt, which means a lot of neck.....and I love his neck. :P
Actually, I just realized how many things Moffat recycled in this episode. Ok, I'll enjoy when he takes over as long as he doesn't just reuse the same things. Love, weird kids, "everyone lives", "alright".....interesting..... :P
Edit: Ok, one thing I didn't like about this episode, the whole Doctor=God thing. Uh....yeah, ok, he's a really powerful being. But really? Finger snapping. *sighs* Reminded me a lot of The Second Coming and...I dunno. Didn't like that.
