Doki② Waku② Day
It was breezy afternoon when Kaho, my bodyguard and I were in the backyard garden.
“The flowers sure have bloomed beautifully,” commented Kaho with a smile.
“That’s of course! It’s all credit to your guidance and advices that you’ve given me!” I replied showering the bush of red roses, which have just bloomed, a few weeks back.
“Ah~ please don’t say that!! It was nothing much actually!! I only told you what my hubby and I did at home to our garden,” replied Kaho, blushing.
Although Kaho is my bodyguard, I always look up to her. She takes good care of me, almost like a nanny. As much as I love her, I would want the rest of her time spent with her loved-one so she does not live in this house.
“So! You’re really here! I finally found you, Sei!”
Both Kaho and I looked around, and I was startled to see Bel, my gouverness panting.
Uh-oh… I thought.
“What are you doing here, Ms Bel?”
“Very nice, well that’s my line! What are you doing here when you are suppose to do these maths questions that I asked you to one week before, Ms Sei?” said Bel panting.
Just as I thought something was really suspicious about the appearance of Ms Bel at my secret place, I caught sight of Annie, trying to hide away from me.
“Ah! Annie!” I yelled, “How could you betray me?!”
“Hey! That’s not betrayal,” protested Annie, one of my younger sisters. “I am doing it for your own good! Besides, it was not me who suggested Ms Bel to come look for you over here!”
“You mean Takashi is here?” I exclaimed, “Waaaai~~!!! It means…..”
“I am afraid it’s not playtime, neither is it cake time for you, sei-sama,” continued Kaho with a smiling face.
That smile scares me.
“Hehhh?! But Takashi came specially for me and….”
I gave up arguing as Kaho’s smile widened.
“Erm… ok,” I replied, removing my apron and putting away all the gardening tools at the same time trying hard not to recall what happened the last time when I ignored that smile.
“That’s more I like it, sei-sama,” replied Kaho, still with that smile on.
Ah-ah~ who’s the ‘sama’ here naa…. I thought as we walked into the living room.
“Takashi!!” I shouted happily.
“Ah~ Mitsukuni,” came the reply.
“Oh...god....aahhh! Gimme a break,” said Annie as she left for her room.
“Ta~Ka~Shi~~~~~~~” I said as I ran towards my dear cousin, Yamu.
“Sei-sama,”
I tried to break as fast as I could before I fall.
“See…you…later…Takashi T_T ,” I sobbed while changing my direction to the stairs which will lead me to the room where all the stupid homework is.
“Ah…” replied Yamu with a blank look.
While walking towards the stairs, “Mouuu… Kaho-chan, you’re being too strict dayo…”
Just then, I noticed the presence of Maddy, another younger sister of mine. My heart almost stopped, completely.
Pointing at her, I shouted, “Ah…ah…AH!!!!!”
“Ms Sei!”
“Sei-sama?”
“Mitsukuni!”
Almost in sync, the three of them went, “what’s wrong?” as I fell to the ground.
“Ta…ta…takashi… please tell me that whatever Maddy is eating right now was not that last piece of strawberry shortcake that I bought when we went shopping together the last time,”
Yamu looked and replied, “Ah, it’s not.”
“ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!! Takashi you liar!!!!!!! Ah!! No!! No!! Let me down! Let me down!!!!” I struggled as Yamu carried me on her back heading towards that room where all the homework is, and leaving Ms Bel and Kaho standing in front of the staircase looking blankly.
“Wait!! Wait!!!" Yamu stopped,"MADDY!!!!” I yelled as loud as I could from upstairs so that Maddy heard me. “Is…. Is that cake delicious?”
“Hmm? Hmm… no. Not at all.”
I was surprised.
“It was heavenly,” continued Maddy, smiling at me.
*thunder and lightning* I was shocked.
I vaguely felt someone carrying me to somewhere on the shoulder.
“Oh dear…” muttered Kaho.
“I doubt sei is in the mood for the homework now, I’ll… I’ll come again next time!” said Bel.
“I’ll see you to the door. And don’t worry, I’ll make sure she does her homework!” said Kaho.
“Hmm? What just happened?” asked Maddy.
“Ok,” said Yamu closing the door.
“Oh, Hi, Yamu!” greeted Annie as she walked out of her room at the corridor, “it didn’t happened again, did it?”
“Ah,” said Yamu as the two of them walked downstairs.
“Oh man… she’s so childish,”
“What? What happened?? Oneechama is in that mode again?” asked Maddy eagerly in the couch.
“I wonder what will happen this time round…” sighed Annie.
“Oh yes! Oh yes! I could still remember what happened the last time when Oneechama was in that spirit!!” said Maddy excitedly.
“Well~ that was all YOUR fault, Miss,” said Annie, “Poor Amari-chan…”
***
There was a knock on the door.
“Hi, Ms Kaho!”
“Oh, Hi, Ms Amari! What’s the matter?”
“Ahh~ I guessed Sei-sensei should be at home so I came to ask her some homework!” said Amari, my disciple, cheerfully.
“Oh… that’s hardworking of you to come in this rainy weather,” replied Kaho sounding a little worried. “Do come in!”
“Oh hi, Annie-chan and Maddy-chan!” greeted Amari as she sat down.
“Hello~” replied Maddy after swallowing the last bite of her cookie.
“Hi~” said Annie while flipping her magazine in the sofa.
“Hmm? Where’s sensei?”
There was no reply. Kaho walked hastily into the kitchen, Maddy continued munching her cookies while Annie carried on with her reading but flipping the pages at a slightly faster speed.
“ Amari-chan…” said Maddy suddenly putting her plate of cookies on the coffee table, “Actually… Oneechama is not feeling good.”
Annie looked up.
“Annie-neechan and I, not even Kaho or Yamu were able to help. And we were kinda worried for her,” began Maddy.
Amari looked at the big plate of cookies that Maddy had just placed on the table then onto Annie, who looked away back at her magazine, the moment Amari’s eyes met hers.
She smelt something amiss. The sisters do not looked the least worried at all. They were anything but worried.
“Kaho said that you might drop in, so as not to make you worry, annie and I had to pretend that everything is normal,” added Maddy who seemed to have noticed the suspiscious look on Amari’s face.
“I see… is… is sensei in her room? I think I had better go see her,” said Amari as she stood up putting her books on where she had just sat.
“Hey! Just what are you up to?” whispered Annie to Maddy as Amari ascended the stairs for my room.
“Heee~” chuckled Maddy mischievously and returning to her cookies.
“Sensei?” shouted Amari outside my room, “Can I come in?”
Amari tried turning the knob and to her surprised, it was not locked.
“Se…”
The moment Amari set her foot into the room, the house felt as though it has been hit by a storm. After several minutes,
Amari managed to escape from that room, looking half-alive.
“Amari-san!!!” exclaimed Kaho, “Oh my goodness! I must say that you were really brave to enter Sei-sama’s room at this point of time…”
“Huh…” muttered Amari with her eyes looking really exhausted at Kaho.
“Like you’ve heard, we should be going to the Zoo today, but the trip was forced to cancel due to the rain. Sei-sama had been in a foul mood since the rain began pouring. I am so sorry that I hadn’t told you earlier. I thought her mood would be better by now…. But…” explained Kaho.
Amari fainted.
When Amari came round, she found herself at sei’s neighbour’s place.
“Finally… you opened your eyes,” began the oh-so-annoying neighbour, Eien. “Have some water.”
“Thanks,” said Amari as she took that glass of water from Eien. After swallowing a few sips, she continued, “Why am I here?”
“Ah… that Kaho next door said that it’s better for you to come here since their house is almost fully destroyed. Don’t worry, you can stay here until you’re ok,” said Eien. “But you were really brave… the most courageous story that I heard this year so far.”
Courageous? I don’t think that word is used that way… thought Amari. I was tricked!!!!!!
“So far, only one legendary person is able to handle sei whenever she is in that state…” sighed the neighbour.
“Lengendary? Who?” asked Amari.
“Her granny!”
"Huh? But why?"
"haha~ that's because she was the person who taught Sei her martial arts," answered Eien.
Amari’s eyes widened in awe.
Back at the house…
“Why do we always have to go through this….” grumbled Annie, as she wanted a quiet place where she could read. “And it’s all your fault!”
“Don’t you think that was brillant?” Maddy laughed hard at the thought of Amari stepping into my room.
Just as Kaho was about to say something, the main door burst open. And there stood a lady apparently to be fuming.
“Obaachama!” said Kaho, surprised. “Wel…welcome home!”
“Home?! You called this home?? Sei again?” said Ivy, my grandma in an angered tone. “Bring me to her room!”
“Wow! I wonder how she got the news!” said Maddy.
“I wonder if this is going to be the last time…” said Annie, all drained out.
“Here you are, Obaachama,”
Kaho opened the door.
“S-E-I!”
Oh no… grandmama is here and she’s holding a whip in her hands.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
And the house was once again, struck by a storm. A more powerful one, that is.
Over at the neighbour’s house…
“Did the house just vibrated?” asked Amari.
“Ohhh~ so that legendary person has appeared,” replied Eien, sipping a cup of green tea.
~***~
“That one fateful incident was more than enough…” commented Annie.
“Hehh~ I don’t think so na…” added Maddy. “I want more!!!”
Annie looked at Maddy with an unbelievable look while Yamu was spacing out, until a knock was heard at the main door.
“I’ll answer,” said Yamu, standing up.
“Yaho! Everybody! Is sensei around?” shouted Amari cheerfully at the door.
“It’s fun time again, peeps,” smirked Maddy.
