Yes, it's the apocalypse all right. I always thought I'd have a hand in it.
I thought with the imminent departure of David Tennant from Doctor Who and the promo pics of the new Doctor ( or as big bro put it: "Go away! You're not wanted here!"), I thought I was pretty much done with the series. I loved every season- granted I didn't really watch season 3 because of the lack of Rose- and I just didn't think I could stomach a Tennant-less Tardis. He really helped define the new series, for better or worse.
But after seeing some spoilerery pictures featuring 11 and a new companion, I am considering changing my mind.

I'll say here and now that with the miniskirt and looking like she should be in highschool, the new companion does not a convincing police officer make. Nonetheless, cute pic. If I do end up shipping (don't want to but accidents happen), it will be because I have already rationalized that essentially all incarnations of the Doctor are completely different men with different emotions and personalities who happen share the same body. So if there is UST between 11 and new companion, I can still ship and it won't feel like a complete betrayal to my 9/Rose/10 OTP. Doubt that Moffat will go that route though.
And while on the subject of western shows, I'm thinking about checking out Glee. I keep getting a Highschool Musical vibe but from what I read of it on Wikipedia, an HSM with teen pregnancies and drugs. The power of Broadway compels me to watch!
