SUMMARY: Whilst Isshi and Akiya put their minds to Jenga, Nao has to find something else to spend time with. However, that something turns out to be a someone, which doesn't -surprisingly- please Akiya.

It was a mellow summer afternoon; not hot but warm enough to drive people with sensitive skins into indoors. Isshi was one of those people -he had never been a fan of the sun or sunbathing. He preferred autumn and its amiable coolness, and thus, when Akiya had lured him and Nao to spend a day with him, the trio had ended up to a bar quite quickly, discarding the original plan of a day at the park. It was one of those modernly cozy pubs downtown, a place Isshi liked to frequent. Because of the nice weather, there weren't much people in there -only him and Akiya, who had conquered a table for a Jenga game, some worn-out salarymen enjoying refreshing beers and a group of youths who Nao had decided to bond with immediately after he had realized his boyfriend and Akiya were about to start a long and mind-dulling Jenga battle. The party consisted of a bunch of laid-back and attractive young men and women wearing casual but no doubt, expensive clothes. Akiya stole a glance at them, and then another, as he noticed how eagerly Nao connected with them.

Isshi didn't seem to see anything but the game in front of him; his fingertips were running softly on the wooden pieces as he contemplated which one he should attempt robbing from the tower. "Doesn't that bother you?" Akiya finally asked, keeping one eye on giggly Nao and the other on his opponent.

"What?" Isshi mumbled absent-mindedly, continuing searching for a good piece. "Nao being social?"

"Social?" Aki coughed, surprised. He gestured towards the group. "He's all over that tall blonde guy!"

Isshi's expression didn't waver. Instead, he made his choice; calmly, he pinned one of the pieces between his thumb and index finger, and with experienced manners, pulled it away, the tower not trembling one bit. "Nao's like that. You shouldn't worry about it."

"But you should!" Akiya exclaimed. "You can't let Nao walk over you like that." Worriedly, he took another look at the band's frizzy-haired bassist. He winced -Nao had wrapped his arm around the guy's waist. Nao was one of the guitarist's best friends -a stupid, inconsiderable and self-centered but a dear friend anyway- and in these situations Akiya felt quite lost. He wanted to stand up and go give Nao a good shake on the shoulders -how could he act like that when Isshi was around?- but something about the vocalist's relaxed composure halted him.

As Akiya didn't make his move in the game, Isshi lifted his eyes from the tower, soon sensing the confusion that was radiating from the man across the table. He sighed, leaning back on his chair. "Okay," he started. "I know Nao can seem a bit...Well. Overly familiar with people at times but..." He trailed off as a burst of easily recognizable giggles floated from the bar to their table. Isshi smiled. "He just likes people. If he finds someone he thinks is beautiful, he goes and tells him that. It's not something to be concerned about."

"But..." Akiya stared at Isshi, not sure if the one needing a good shake was actually the vocalist. "He's flirting with another guy. It just isn't... Normal," Akiya concluded in the lack of a better word. "How come you're so cool about this?"

Isshi studied his friend's expression for a while, feeling a tinge of annoyance flashing through as he realized there was no hope of continuing the game before the matter was settled. In resignation, he waved Akiya to bend closer. "You want to see why?" The vocalist asked, voice low and exaggeratedly mysterious. As Akiya nodded unsurely, Isshi uncoiled his bearing, directing his eyes at the subject of their conversation. "Nao~" He crooned gently, quirking a brow softly. "You mind getting me another drink?"

And without a second thought, Nao detached himself from his newly found friend's company, soon lightly skimming to his boyfriend. "More tea? Or something stronger?"

"Tea's fine. Thanks."

Nao cast one of his never-ceasing bright smiles at the man. "No probs." Making a quick peace signal with his fingers, the bassist turned and walked to the bar to make the order, Isshi's warm eyes lightly glued onto his back.

"You see," the vocalist began, stretching the words, "I figured him out a long ago. He might like many people but there's only one who he loves -and that's me." Not a bit of smugness in his voice, Isshi shrugged as if to indicate the simple statement was enough to close the case.

"So very true," a voice added cheerfully as a steaming tea cup landed onto the table, accompanied by a kiss on the vocalist's cheek. "I'll be over there if you need anything else." After that, Nao ruffled Aki's hair playfully before returning to the party at the bar.

"See? There's nothing to be worried about." Isshi took a sip of the drink solemnly.

"You're a weird couple, you know that?" Akiya muttered, still wanting to tear hair because of the duo.

Isshi smirked, gesturing Akiya to continue the game. "I know."
