I return bearing a few more requests fulfilled. I'm sorry though, even though these are meant to be replies to a pairing request meme, the rating goes hardly over G. Uh. I'm all out of good romantic stuff. Please, bear with me till the time being *bows*
ONE-SHOT#03
Miya / Tatsurou

Rating: PG
Summary: Miya gets fed up with Tatsurou's constant pranks.
Miya's cell phone beeped. The guitarist lifted his hands from the laptop's keyboard and flipped the cell's lid open. He eyed the message through and sighed.
From the direction of the front door he heard some rustling. A key was turned in the lock and soon a pair of legs stomped into the apartment.
"I'm home!"
"Welcome back," Miya answered to the greeting, placing his phone back onto the table before continuing writing.
Soaking wet arms twined around his shoulders a moment later as Tatsurou peeked over Miya to see what the other one was doing.
Miya shuddered loathingly. "Tatsurou. You're literally dripping with water. Go change before you wet my laptop."
Miya met a pair of black eyes glimmering behind dark locks of damp hair. "I'm going, I'm going."
"Tatsurou."
"Hm?" Tatsurou stopped at the door of their bedroom and gave Miya a glance over his shoulder.
"I'd appreciate it if you could leave Yukke alone, for now."
Tatsurou's eyes enlarged innocently. "What do you mean by that?"
Miya didn't move his eyes from the screen. "I got a text from him. He told me you barged into the open-air sauna he was visiting today." Now Miya turned to face his lover. "Seriously, Tatsu. You chased naked Yukke around and threw ice-cold water on him? I'm not going to ask why because I wouldn't understand anyway but..." Miya rubbed his eyes. "Just play nicely with him from now onwards, please?" Muttering to himself, the older man returned to his work.
Tatsurou started sneaking towards the safety of the bedroom.
"And one more thing, Tatsu."
Tatsurou stopped again and smiled at Miya's back charmingly. "Yes, Miya?"
"Don't even dare to think about revenging on him just because he informed me about your latest little stunt."
Tatsurou grinned. Miya knew him too well.
"I'd never do such a thing."
"I really mean it. If Yukke meets with unexpected, mysterious accidents or damages, I hold you responsible for them personally."
Tatsurou's lips pursed up. "But it's a widely known fact that Yukke is accident-prone."
"No. Accidents. You hear me."
"Or else...?"
Miya stopped writing and stood up slowly. Looking at the other man in the eye with an indifferent expression, the guitarist answered: "Come with me to the bedroom and I'll show you."
A good five minutes later Tatsurou was standing in the living room, baffled, holding a neatly folded blanket and a pile of sheets on his arms. He cast one scowling eyeful at the sofa in front of him before starting making a bed on it.
When Miya had said 'no accidents' he had meant 'no accidents'.
Well, Tatsurou thought and fluffed up his pillow, he had slept on the couch before; it wouldn't kill him.
And this was pretty much all Miya could blackmail him with...
Tatsurou whistled once, satisfied with how he had gotten the bottom sheet placed.
Yukke was so going to fall on hard times.

Kiyoharu/Ayumi Hamasaki

Summary: Ayu tries to sleep in a train.
Kiyoharu stared out of the window. Snowy landscape whizzed past as the bullet train hurried through Hokkaido.
From his lap a drowsy voice arose; it was barely audible, yet enough to draw the man's attention to itself.
Large brown eyes were looking up at him. "Are we there already?"
Kiyoharu's lips curved up a little. With his index finger he pushed his glasses higher on the bridge of his nose.
"No, not yet. A few more hours."
The woman nodded tiredly and pulled her legs closer to her body. "It's so cold in here."
Easily picking the clue hidden in the words, Kiyoharu reached for his thick winter coat laying in a bundle on the opposite seat. Carefully, he wrapped it around the woman and rubbed her shoulder encouragingly. He knew how much she disliked cold and winters, especially.
"When you'll wake up again, let's go to get something good from the dining car."
The woman burrowed deeper inside the coat. Her eyelids fell shut as the warmth around her began to lull her into light slumber.
"Kiyoharu-san..."
"Mm?" The eyes that had already traveled back to the window floated back to her.
She smiled from behind the hood lined with fur. "Could I get something good now, too?"
"Of course, Ayu-chan." The man stooped over and kissed the tip of her nose.
"Now, sleep well."
ONE-SHOT#5
Tora/Saga
::pairing requested by
maunetjeret::
Rating: G
Summary: Tora struggles with his hernia. Annoyed by having a weakness, Tora finds his friends making a fuzz about it very strenuous -all except one.
The lights on Tora's face felt even more sweltering than usually; and yet, freezing chills kept running through his body.
Licking his dry lips, Tora tightened his grip on the neck of his guitar, being scared it might slip from his hands at any minute.
At that moment, Shou was at the front of the stage, encouraging their audience to sing along. Tora lowered his head and pretended he was focusing on the song to hide the pain he felt ghosting on his face. It was fortunate that Shou was drawing their fans' attention to himself; and it was even more fortunate that Shou was standing back to Tora. If the vocalist had cast even one glance at him, he would've immediately realized something was wrong -they had not been friends for years for nothing. Shou was able to read Tora like an open book, and the slightly tensed figure of the guitarist would've made Shou upset.
They had promised Tora, all of them, that on the stage, no one would make a fuzz about him. Pity was what he wanted the very last; he loathed the idea of the audience forgiving him his mistakes just because he was sick.
Tora inhaled deep and straightened up to his full height. Suddenly, he sensed a movement next to him. Without making a noise about himself, Saga had stepped to his side. The bassist wasn't looking at him -in fact, he was openly flirting with some girl in the front row. But Tora knew: silently, Saga was checking up on him, making sure the other one was able to continue. After deciding everything was as okay as it could be considering Tora's condition, Saga swiveled around and returned to his place.
When Tora had been coerced to admit aloud he wasn't healthy, his life had become remarkably oppressive.
Tora loved his friends, of course he did, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't be... anything but themselves. Nao was often buzzing around the guitarist with a worried expression, offering him a break or a cup of coffee or herbal tea, whatever it happened to be in his power to offer. Shou, then again, was acting briskly -too briskly, actually. Everybody had soon realized he was worried sick and only respect for Tora's pride kept him from falling onto Nao's level of patronizing. Continuous seemingly relaxed chit-chatting and small, superfluous tasks kept Shou together, somehow.
It was Hiroto who hurt Tora the most. After Tora had returned from the hospital, Hiroto had retired into his shell. Tora was aware that when necessary, Hiroto would be by his side bravely and encouragingly. For now, however, Hiroto wasn't intruding himself upon the other guitarist. Often Tora saw Hiroto sitting lost in his thoughts, his fingers sliding on the strings of his guitar unhurriedly.
Tora knew very well why: Hiroto was afraid of meeting with something similar, something that would deprive him of his ability to climb up to a stage. And, as if that wasn't enough, simultaneously the young man was forced to reflect his position in the band: if Tora was to retreat, would Hiroto be able to carry the void left by the other guitar? For if he wasn't, there was no future for Alice Nine.
Giving his friend such a burden saddened Tora. He couldn't help feeling villainous seeing the little guitarist pondering these questions day after day. Tora didn't have a clue on how to ease his troubled mind. All he could do was to try and recover as quickly as possible, but it seemed too little for Tora.
Saga was the only one who behaved ordinarily in every aspect. The bassist curbed Nao's overly solicitous acts, told Shou to shut up every now and then and made Hiroto snap out of it when atmosphere between the five men was getting too heavy.
Tora... When it came to Tora, Saga let him be. The bassist didn't press things on him; he didn't monitor every step of the guitarist; he didn't fall silent whenever Tora happened to take his painkillers from his pocket. All in all, the bassist was his own calm self.
Now, on the stage, feeling he was fighting at his limits, Tora appreciated Saga's silent back-up. From time to time, when sensing the other one was in pain, the bassist crept closer. In return, when Tora saw from the corner of his eyes that Saga was lingering near, he was able to lift his chin a bit higher and deliver a tiny smile for the fans that were having a keen eye on him.
Tora hadn't fell for Saga in vain, the guitarist knew it now.
Saga was returning from the front of the stage where he had stayed for his solo. As he casually bounced past Tora, the guitarist breathed quietly: "I love you."
Saga's brows arched amusedly but then the slightest of smiles made his lips curve up. He nodded and returned to his place, in the shadow of Tora.
Some comments on these drabbles:
1#I got a few MUCC-related requests and I knew immediately I needed to use the epic naked water fights scene Yukke blogged about. However, instead of coming up with some proper crack, I wrote.... this 8) Well. Hopefully it pleases
destiny_1989 nonetheless~
2#Okay, I think this pairing is a bit too much for most of you to bear but there's actually a story behind it: It was around a year ago or so when I found a clip of Ayu's old talk show, AYUready and Kiyoharu happened to be there as a guest. The episode offers many cheerful laughs -those two were just two cute together!- and it ends with them singing Masquerade together. At first, I and Huff talked about the pairing as something suitable for crack but as time passed by, an idea of actually taking the ship seriously started sparkling in our minds. This is the first step towards that :)
3#I read some old-ish interviews with Alice Nine talking about how Tora's seizure affected them, and how it was like to return to having concerts after it. I hope I would've had more patience to craft the one-shot a bit more but... I think it delivers what it's supposed to anyway. Miss M is my super commenter, so I really really really hope she feels satisfied with this.... And if not, she left me another req! So, I'll try harder when fulfilling that one~
Thanks everybody for reading♥ I think I'm trying to balance with the requests and my chaptered story by posting them in turns. And, I'm closing the request post now, in order to get them all fulfilled soon. The request post might return someday, tho, so keep your eyes open :)
