I had a sweet weekend.
Went with Chrissy to a Sin City party on Friday, there were a lot of
familiar faces as well as lots of new people to meet. I ended up drinking horse
and penguin wine, and Amp and vodka and this beer called Frochs (?) that
kind of tasted like dirt but was still not too bad. Woke up not hungover
at all, which is always excellent.
Saturday was a reallllly perfect fall day. After a long walk through campus
ended up at expresso and had $1 coffee compliments of sean. But then a trip
to flat black and circular found me spending $13 on a Bright Eyes/Son Ambulance
CD that I pretty much already had all of the music from, because I'm sweet like that.
Saturday night I febreezed the Saturn and picked up a girl named Sarah to drive to Charlotte
to meet up with Sam, who drove us to K-zoo to meet up with their friend Erin, who had
waited in line for us at a brewery to see The Mountain Goats. So lots of driving +
new people, but the band was reallllllly good, and so was one of the opening bands. the brewery was sweet too, and there was a pretty nice crowd there.
I've been dl'ing a ton of their music since then and i really like it a lot.
After the show we wanted coffee and pie, so we went to The Crows Nest, and I got to see
Man!!! I'm pretty sure we hadn't hung out since like, July, and it was FANTASMIC to see her
...best hug ever. She seems to be doing so well at life and I'm real happy for her <333.
Got home at 4am saturday, got up at 12 to write my horrible IAH paper. It was only 5-6
pages, but I just could not make it sound like anything worth reading. So I gave up around 6,
found out I had gotten a parking ticket at akers, yessss, and
went to sisters, where I was taken to PF Changs (i get waaaay too spoiled)
then went home and my roomie was back!! I had missed her like crazy. Stayed up till 1 finishing
the worst paper ever, and chatting with the beautiful eener weiner about how she should be
a yankee doodle dandie boy for halloween, and sing her pops solo all night.
I also got to talk to AJ, who always always makes me laugh and I miss tons ...

I wish Halloween would get here...my costume arrived last night...yikes.
Mostly I CAN'T WAIT to see all my lovers in one place. It's weird lately, sometimes I feel like I'm surrounded by people having hard times, and all I want to do is be able to to help, or try and relate by feeling like they do ...but I've been so pumped about life and friends and school and the future this year... I don't know what's gotten into me
