mrph.
So on the plus side, I was finally able to get some work done on the internship project that's due Friday. For those that haven't previously heard me bitch about it, I still have 28 pages to go.
My internship with the Democratic Coordinated Campaign definitely made me decide not to pursue a career in politics. I'm glad I determined this before I graduated rather than after. I wish I had been able to count my work at the animal shelter as my internship instead. That was fun, exciting, and full of data that could be analyzed from various perspectives. The campaign work was boring, monotonous, and semi-information sensitive (I don't know what kind of state I would be in if I had actually had to sign a privacy agreement, though I basically verbally agreed to one).
If I could go back and do it again, then I would work full-time at the SPCA and say fuck the internship.
On a related note, the Richmond SPCA emailed me today to set up a volunteer orientation time. It's about time. Of course, college students run on different time schedules than the real world, and it's really only been two weeks since we submitted our applications. Then again, it'll have been almost a month by the time my orientation date comes up.
