She went away for the holidays/ said she was going to LA.
She never got there, she never got there/ they say.
The KKK took my baby away.
Here's a question. We've all had loss. Who is going to be the next to go? It's weird to think about, but one of us will die before the rest have their rest. Do me a favor, though. Don't fucking cry thinking about death. It's the one thing that is absolutely going to happen.
They say death and taxes, But believe me, My dad never paid taxes.
Oh, and I read this today. Couldn't be any more truthful, for me at least.
"Through all of the abuse, and despite it all, Eddie privately adored his old man, because sons will adore their fathers through even the worst behavior. It is how they learn devotion. Before he can devote himself to God or a woman, a boy will devote himself to his father, even foolishly, even beyond his explanation."
Mitch Albom, "The Five People You Meet In Heaven."
Sounds gay, but it's a good book. War, death, blue people so far. Check it out.
